The Opposition's Manager - Neil Warnock

Warnock returned to Huddersfield in February, having previously been in charge between 1993 and 1995 - when he got them promoted from what is now called League One, via the play-offs.

He is of course no stranger to us, having had a successful spell in charge of Cardiff City. He got us promoted to the Premier League in 2018, remained in charge for the entirety of our season in the Premier League when we got relegated in 2019 and left the following season.

He has more promotions than any other manager in the history of English football, with eight.

Sabri Lamouchi says Callum O'Dowda will miss the rest of the season after suffering a concussion.


Sabri Lamouchi:

"Callum O'Dowda was out yesterday [Thursday] for concussion, so he will be out for the next two games.

Huddersfield boss Neil Warnock is set to make a late fitness call on Jonathan Hogg head of Sunday's trip to Cardiff City.

Hogg sat out Town's last game at Sunderland, but could yet play some part in the trip to south Wales.

There's also a decision to be made on the goalkeeping front, with Thomas Vaclik and Lee Nicholls both fit. However, loanee Anthony Knockaert won't feature.


Warnock said: "The good news is we've got two keepers! I don't think one of them can play out though, so I'll have to choose one of them... I haven't made my mind up yet.

"It's great to have two number ones. Tomas has done well but Lee by all accounts was one of the best keepers in the league before his injury. Jonathan Hogg is struggling a little bit, but you never know with Jonathan. We'll see.

Bluebirds

Huddersfield started strong. No surprise there as they have fresh legs, what is it 12 days since their last game.

A decent start from the Bluebirds, who seem to be playing with aittlemore freedom than usual now that they are mathematically safe from the drop

However, Huddersfield have had the best chance so far with Bluebird keeper Jak Alnwick having to make a smart save early on

The Bluebirds are playing their game but Huddersfield look dangerous in attack and only some pretty good defending has kept them at bay. The fitness of the Huddersfielf players after a 10 day lay-off appears to be showing, although no one should thing the Bluebirds are not at the party...

First glimpse at goal and Philogene lashes over with a poor effort on the half volley.

Lovely run from Philogene as he is slid in well by Kaba. He hits a low cross and it misses everyone before falling to Ralls at the back post. Cardiff make a bit of a hash of it before it's recycled again to Philogene, who this time lays off Sawyers. The shot is miles over the bar.

I'm away at the moment, so watching the game from afar. It may me but the crowd looks sparse for a final 'home' game of the season?

A nice break down the right and Koroma hits a decent cross into the box. Kipre clears behind for a corner.

Cardiff carved open there as Huddersfield break. Sawyers does a tremendous job in sliding in a blocking Rudoni's shot! Corner.

Danny Ward sets up a Huddersfield shot but Romaine Sawyers puts in a superb block

The ball then goes upfield with an excellent Bluebird move before eventually being pulled up for offside

Philogene then goes on a lovely run inside the box and claims a penalty (not given) that draws the wrath of the Huddersfield keeper

Ojo seems to be in another time zone again. Surrounded by zippy players, he just sucks the life out of any form of counter when involved!

Jak Alnwick rushes out to clear after a poor backpass and the Bluebirds push forward again but once again the are pegged back and Ward goes into the box but is well stopped by the Bluebird defence
