The BLUE PRINT FOR VINCENT TAN

Fri Apr 28, 2023 10:44 am

Having all but secured our Championship status thoughts need to be turned to WHERE DO YOU GO FROM HERE.

1st Action - appoint Sabri Lamuchi and Sol Bamber on a permanent basis ( at least a 2 year contract)
2nd Action - sort out the status as far as the "so called Embargo"
3rd Action - Finally sort the Sala situation out one way or another
4th Action sort out a reasonable budget for the manager to work with.
5th Action - trim all the deadwood from the squad - Tanner, Whyte, Harris, Wickham, Sang, Alnwick, Campbell, Watters & possibly Davies ( that should clear some space in the the budget)
6th Action - Send the following out on loan - Denam, King, Ojo
7th Action - re-sign Kaba & Kipri ( this will require some transfer fees)
8th Action - Fix Colwill's injury issues
9th Action - New Championship quality players required 1 RB, 2 CDs, 1 RW & 1 ST ( with Peake, Adams, Collins and Robinson and indeed Colwill coming back from long term injury they could be considered as new signings)
10thAction - aim for playoffs as a minimum

If Carlsberg map football plans I would drink this one! :occasion5: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Agree with 99% but I would switch keepers.

Good plan, let's hope Tan has something similar in mind or he should sell up.

Agree with most of that except for the keeper. If he's prepared to fight for a first team spot I think he's good enough. Pretty sure we won't see Kipre again in a city shirt after Burnley but would love to eat my words on this. I've never had much luck telling someone else how to spent their money so I'll leave Mr Tan out of it.

This would be a good start, going to be very very interesting this summer.

I was 50-50 regarding Lamouchi, but he’s the best manager we have had since Warnock, so yes let’s give him next season with a good budget :bluebird: :bluebird:

Lamouchi has earned his right to next season and to be backed.

Let’s sort Sala money owed , stop the court cases, interest, fines, embargoes and pay back Dalman and stop the interest.

Choo and Dalman to be replaced.

Good post and I agree 100%.

Will the owner do it? No.

We'll struggle next season and won't stay up without investment in the squad. Could even lose our good manager for that reason.

Delighted we've stayed up but still worried for next season. Hope I'm wrong

I would like to add another point in being, where does the future of CCFC lie with regards to ownership? Does he actually want to stay or cut his loses and find a buyer? The long term is concerning here.

If he wants to save millions get a Director of Football appointed and a full time CEO ( not a part time car dealer). Then hopefully the Murphy, Cornelius, Madine etc , etc will not happen so often. Also we can avoid the stupid contracts we have given to players and managers. Sadly the Sala situation would never had happened as the 2 would be responsible, to see he never went on the plane and that all insurance companies were notified. Give the 2 new appointments direct goals and leave it to them. Cannot see it happening mind.

I would expect Lamouchi to demand some investment. If its not good enough he will go. This summer is going to tell us how much interest Tan has.

He does not want to stay but his price for us is ridiculous and no one in their own mind would pay that. The worrying thing for me is how stubborn he is and he will stick to that price.

I'd keep Davies and get rid of bagan

I posted this last week and got a number of responses, however maybe there is movement on the first action and who knows what happens from there.
I think the whole situation with the club is the fact that Vincent Tan has all the power to make decisions with the Dalman and Choo having to tow the line. Tan must start commutating with those people that are the life blood of this club the FANS. We might not always like the message but hiding away from everything is leading to negativity on so many levels.

GOOD MANAGEMENT COMES FROM GOOD COMMUNICATION :old:

Agree in principle with the start of this - but I fear the embargo is damage that cannot be undone based on the latest from the board/trust meeting. If true, we can loan people out but Lamouchi will have nothing to work with but loans next year. Not unworkable but hard to build a long term vision.

Personally I think sticking with Lamouchi is right, and I'd like to see him get a whole season unless we've lost every game by Christmas or something drastic. Consistency under Mackay and Warnock were the two seasons we did best in (though of course with different squads).
