" Kion Etete "

Fri Apr 28, 2023 8:17 pm

Something good that Sabri Lamouchi has done is his work with Kion Etete.

Earlier in the season, he didn't look like a Championship player at all.

Then after a few games with Sabri as manager, he improved. I made the point that he's young, and that strikers tend to peak in their mid to late 20s.

But these last few weeks, he's come on leaps and bounds.

A brilliant performance at Rotherham showed how far he has come since the manager came in.

I hope Sabri stays for many reasons but partly because, given the progress he's already made, Etete could be a real asset to us next season.

A solid run in the team has helped. He was one of our best players last night. The ball sticks to him. Will make a good centre forward at this level. Probably needs a willing runner around him.

He looked excellent in the PW7 game vs Villa. He's definitely got potential and is showing far more ability than Rubin and Isaak, maybe from having a fair run. I like him and think he will make a good career for himself. He's a young Jay Bothroyd.

Worked his socks off as well, there were times that he was on our goal line defending, has a lot of potential and I hope he can reach it with us

A Good run of games under a new manager - who seems to get the best out of some players of late .

Etete seems to be a player transformed in his all round game - imagine what Sabri could do with Max Watters :?: ;)
