Kion Etete admits it felt "like a weight lifted" when Cedric Kipre netted his dramatic late winner against Rotherham, and says captain Joe Ralls was a key factor in dragging the Bluebirds over the line at the New York Stadium
Etete netted himself to give the Bluebirds the lead, before Cardiff were pegged back by Chiedozie Ogbene's header before half-time.
But Kipre's winner handed Cardiff a precious three points, much to the delight of the travelling 800 fans, and the players themselves.
“It’s a massive goal,” Etete said. “It could be a decider of whether we stay up. When it hit the back of the net, it was just like a weight lifted.
“After that, we had the seven minutes of added time, and I was just trying to pull myself through it, just drag in. But Rallsy, our captain, he was just always chipping in at us, and you just hear him in the back of your head, and it just got us through at the end."
