MY VIEW: LAMOUCHI FACED WARNOCKS HUDDERSFIELD SIDE NEEDING

Sun Apr 30, 2023 12:56 pm

MY VIEW:

THIS IS APPALLING:

OUR HOME RECORD:

Lamouchi our home form 2 wins from 9 games

Over all this season at home 6 wins from 23 home games worse than dreadful

OUR FANS DESERVE BETTER:

LAMOUCHI FACED WARNOCKS HUDDERSFIELD SIDE NEEDING TO WIN AND YES WARNOCK DOES IT AGAIN.

Huddersfield winning at Cardiff who have a dreadful recent home record means Huddersfield stay up.

Cardiff for me will need once again a massive clear out m, but proper investment as over all it’s been an awful season once again.

THE POSITIVES COLWILL & DAVIES LOOKED GOOD WHEN THEY CAME ON

Home performances have been awful and over all another season of struggling, the fans deserve better.

The first-half Huddersfield were the better team, but had to be as they needed the points.
City half well.

Cardiff improved the second—half of a drab game.

Cardiff are 19th in the Championship, but could go lower , but the main thing is they are safe for another season.

CARDIFF CITY 1 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 2
H-T 0-0

Cardiff City: Alnwick; Romeo, McGuinness, Kipre, Simpson; Wintle, Sawyers, Ralls; Ojo, Etete, Philogene.

Subs: Luthra, Ng, Rinomhota, Colwill, Davies, Kaba, Wickham.

Crowd:
Away Support:

FIRST-HALF:

13th mon: Etete injured and replaced by Kaba.

A lot of pressure from Huddersfield.

Huddersfield caused Cardiff to make a number of mistakes in their defence , but City held out in the first-half 0-0

Over all the match was quite boring and no real life by Cardiff.

H-T 0-0

Cardiff improved.

55th min Isaak Davies on for Ralls.

61st min: GOAL! Cardiff City 0-1 Huddersfiled Town (Hungbo 61)
Goal Terriers. It's a shocker from Sawyers. under very little pressure he gifts the ball to Hungbo, who bangs it past Alnwick to hand Huddersfield the lead.

GOAL! Cardiff City 0-2 Huddersfield Town (Simpson OG 69)

Pearson header. So soft. Will probably go down as a Simpson own goal. Matty Pearson heads it on to Simpson's foot and it goes in.

73rd min:Sawyers off, Wickham on.

Kipre off, Rinomhota on.

Romeo off, Colwill on.

GOAL! Cardiff City 1-2 Huddersfield Town (Davies 83)

Goal! Davies with a neat flick!

We gifted them that game.

Frustration, disappointment sums up our homes performances. Something is wrong and needs addressing.

This game was going no where until Simpson and Sawyers absolutely gift wrapped their opening goal. Pathetic. Both need replacing this summer. Naturally we were tired and the fixture list caught us up. The brief cameo appearances from Davies and Colwill were bright and encouraging. A huge summer ahead now preventing this dreadful season happening again. We've been very, very luck to escape going down.

Disgrace performance. Only played for 10 mins.

Your rhetoric over the last few weeks or more suggests you are a tad disappointed not to have been proven right...

We are safe, we are still in the Championship, and we can now reflect and look forward...

Disappointing result today but our players tried and should he stay, I feel Sabri Lamouchi knows the wheat from the chaffe in this squad

Over to the Board/Committee to do it right this time... :ayatollah:

They're not mathematically safe though?

Lose Vs Sheff United and Reading last game of season for them is huge.

Maybe this inadequate performance could be forgiven if in a few games time it sends Rotherham down. :laughing6:

Colwill looked good when he came on, so did Davies, think it’s clear that Simpson isn’t good enough,

We'd all liked to have signed off with a home win but bigger picture it highlights we've been incredibly lucky to remain in this division.

Over to the board now, we've been sliding backwards since our relegation from the prem and without a serious plan for next season I feel we've only delayed relegation by a year.

The squad does have a few bright sparks and some clever investment to complement what we've got would make a huge difference

Adding strength right down middle starting with a new GK.

Cut the deadwood that aren't even league one level never mind championship.

I like the Lamouchi & Bamba combo, however I have been baffled why he's chosen bang average Simpson & Ojo over Davies & Bagan. For me both have far more potential and are home grown.

I haven't been as critical of Tan as some on here. I still feel he did far more to keep this club going than Sam who nearly had us wound up.

It does feel like a huge moment in Cardiff history where he needs to look what his priorities are.

To do the same would be to own a league 1 club. If he wants to stay then there are some huge decisions and a lot of investment required.

We've been on the back foot all season long .That one game summed us up no energy no guts no desire and lacking real quality. Im chuffed to bits we survived but we are nowhere near the team we should be .We are miles away all over the pitch.
There are however a few players that are good kipre at the back i liked .We need a huge clean out now but its that question again is the board going to back us .
Court hearings embargoes all that has to be finished with.
A clear plan needs to be implemented.
Keep the manager let him and bamba have a go .remember not one player has been brought in buy sabri .He deserves his chance now..The warnings signs of relegation have been there for a few seasons .
Big question now is the commitment and direction of this board and Tan ????

Not a good performance but the players were knackered and we had nothing to play for.

Fair play to Huddersfield, did their bit well and fed off our mistakes.

It's been a long season and I won't be sorry to see it end next Monday.

Sabri has done his job, now he needs to be backed or we'll be relegated in 12 months.

It's the squad that's the problem.

Absolute miracle that Sabri kept us up.

Missing from that team today (all would start)...

Allsop, Ng, Collins, O'Dowda, Robinson. They would add more class.

Definitely gifted them the win. I'd be pissed off if I was Reading or Rotherham.

Was very flat today. Early kick off, the weather, the fact we were safe. Made for not a very good spectacle. Even Huddersfield fans not up to much. Silence for long periods which surprised me.

Very poor performance. Rubin brought a breath of fresh air into the game but too little too late.
