Joel Bagan aged 21 and Eli King aged 21 later this year could feature against Burnley on Monday, with Lamouchi confirming they will travel with the squad to Turf Moor on Monday.

The pair are out of contract at the end of the season, but Lamouchi's preference would be to keep them both. That will likely be resolved in the coming days and weeks.

FOREVER BLUE

I have never felt so down and angry about whats coming after been at the rotherham game i felt top of the world but since have fell back to earth with a bump its yan that is msking us loose our best players through his stubborness how can you build a squad when we keep loosing the best players and when the players themselves want to stay with us its compleye madness they are the sort of olayers we want who love playing for cardiff
And i am afraid lamouchi is going in the same direction as harris morrison and hudson
Surely he cannot say we are going to push for any promotion with the likes of Everton leeds etc possibly coming down we cannot compete with huddersfield even
How can anybody be happy with how tan is controlling everything tactics players ins and outs
i am really not optomistic about next season its another of survival
Tan needs to watch the wrexham video of how to own a club the right way.

Bottom line, assuming defeat tomorrow, we'd have been relegated if it wasn't for Reading's points deduction. That is what Tan needs to focus on, saved by a technicality, nothing else.

Is it a definite that we are losing all these good loanees ?
Surely when he comes over for meeting he’s gonna do what lamouchi says , surely he’s learned his lesson by now.
Or is lamouchi plannnig on players from abroad ?
I’m thinking let’s wait and see before panicking

We stick to the rules - Reading don't. It's nothing to do with a technicality. As my old Mum used to say 'Cheating comes to proving'

Vincent Kompany insists Burnley will not be taking their foot off the gas when it comes to Monday's game with Cardiff.

Burnley have double the points Cardiff City have 98pts to 49pts, thats what investment and a good management team can do.

Burnley take on the Bluebirds in front of a sell-out crowd at home and the Clarets will be looking to reach the 101-point mark before lifting the Championship trophy at full-time. Cardiff meanwhile, want to end their own season on a high.

An amazing 1,700 Cardiff fans will be following the Bluebirds in what is their worst position in the Leagues for over 21 years.

Vincent Kompany said:

"From the two sides, we’re now all of a sudden the one who definitely want to win this game. For us, it’s an important game. It’s the final game of the season, in front of our home fans.

“The trophy lift on top of it. We’re wanting to make a good day out of it and make it a day to remember for all the fans.

“I think this game, we’ve got a couple of players that we definitely want to give a chance. I think it’s no secret that Barnsey (Ashley Barnes) will be an important figure for that game and some other players.

“We just want to be strong. In general we just want to win this game, it’s an important game for us and it can be a special day."

Much has been made of Joel Bagan's potential in recent years. Indeed, the purple patch of success he enjoyed just over a year ago when he scored three goals in as many games was thought to be something of a launchpad for him.

But it's just not happened and Bagan has gone backwards and with Jamilu Collins back from injury next season and Cardiff having already been linked with Fulham's Joe Bryan, who has been on the transfer shortlist for a number of transfer windows, it's time Bagan proved he is capable of one day being City's first-choice left-back.

Sabri Lamouchi has confirmed Bagan will travel to Burnley, so there is a likelihood that he will start. Eli King is also heading to Turf Moor and he could also be slotted into a midfield three. Another player who is spoken highly of behind the scenes at Cardiff, King is also out of contract and Lamouchi also wants him to stick around.

Eli King has also travelled.

Clarets boss Vincent Kompany hopes to have Nathan Tella available to face the Bluebirds.

The winger has been struggling with a hip injury he sustained last month.

The Belgian manager has also been managing the fitness of Swansea City loan man Michael Obafemi.

Lamouchi will be without Cedric Kipre who has undergone an operation on his mouth. Callum Robinson remains out, as do long-term absentees Jamilu Collins and Ebou Adams. Kion Etete, Joe Ralls, Callum O’Dowda and Ryan Allsop are all doubts

Re: TEAM NEWS: " BURNLEY v CARDIFF CITY " MATCH THREAD

Sabri Lamouchi:

“We will try to enjoy it, because we know where we’re going to play,”

“They won the league, they’re the best team in the league, and we wish them the best for next season."

“For us, we are going there to try to enjoy ourselves, because it’s absolutely been a difficult season for all of us; the fans, club, staff and players. We want to try to do our best for the last one."

“We are safe, we made it, and the Club will play in the Championship next season. We have to work from now to not repeat the same mistakes next season, and avoid a repeat of this season."

“It was close for us, and really hard, but we did it.”

Sabri continued by giving an injury update before the Bluebirds head to Lancashire for the bank holiday clash against the Clarets.

“Kion Etete is a big doubt for the weekend," said Lamouchi. "As is the captain, Joe Ralls. Callum O’Dowda is recovering from his concussion, and Cédric Kipré will also not be playing as he’s having an operation. He's been a rock for us at the back this season, so I'd like to thank him for his hard work for the Club.”
