Any manager who comes in gets what this "transfer committee" give them then face the music when it goes wrong. Sadly that's football at some clubs these days where the scapegoat faces the music without his own say on players he wants.

We need a DOF to act as a go between with the coach & owner not the 2 used car salesmen/clowns that we have now who have less interest in the club than a die hard swansea fan does.

This is reminiscent of Conte at Spurs. On the continent, the coach only answers for on the field, off the field it is the Sporting Director or DOF.

VT has had it easy with rookies who accept they are the face of the failing club or Warnock who has this down to a tee, but comes with baggage.

Sabri will be too outspoken. The deal for him to sign will probably hit hurdles.

Agree, think he has talked himself out of the job already as he obviously isn't a YES man judging by some of his comments.
