Active Protests from Match Day 1

Tue May 16, 2023 11:41 am

We need to take action if we’re going to stand any chance of getting rid of this clown, we need to actively protest before each game outside the grandstand entrance, we also need multiple banners in every stand inside the ground too, the stewards will get fed up after 2 or 3 and will leave them go as they can’t “police” all banners without breaching UK laws.

I honestly feel this is the only way we’re going to get our voices heard now, we know it works as we used our voices to get our blue identity back.

Gone is the time for endless discussion, August needs to see action from the fans in mass numbers

Sadly the vast majority of our fans will do absolutely nothing mate.

Ìf we organise our influence could be massive, just look at the Italian Ultras. I'm just a bit worried about changing Tan then getting a worse owner. Our track record isn't great

Disheartening innit, as a society we’re too atomised and believe in nothing.

What would they have to do to be worse than Tan? Blow up the stadium maybe.

Don’t think it’s fair on whoever does end up coming in to have protests at their first game in charge tbh

But the protests wouldn’t be aimed at the new manager, it they would be aimed at the main problem - Tan and the board

Spot on.

We've had protests before as well but supported the team on the pitch.

Besides, when is then the right time to protest? When the next manager has gone in six months? When our relegation is confirmed?

Totally agree fans need to show that we are extremely unhappy with the way this club is going.

Re: Active Protests from Match Day 1

Just seems our fans want to main and whinge about Tan but won’t do fck all to address the problem, either put up or shut up… pointless constantly talking about action and getting Tan out the club, we need to act on it now regardless of who the new manager is

As long as season ticket sales are reasonably good, I don't think Tan will give a s..t!
That's why my money will stay in my pocket next season.
Nevertheless, I still think fan protests before each home game will be noticed and not just as a one off.

Tan doesn’t care about protests. We only turned back to blue after years of protests because attendances plummeted.

All protesting does is create a toxic atmosphere for the players on the pitch.

If people really want to make an impact then they shouldn’t have blindly renewed season tickets no matter how painful an idea that sounds.

I said a few days back tan was flying in to put down his "plan"
He was not going to meet anyone half way its his way or the highway lost philogene kipre kaba and not agree to lamouchi to replace these players dalhman must feel a prat he should be even be turning against tan.

Re: Active Protests from Match Day 1

Too many Tan happy clappers renewing their season tickets, stating they follow the club not Tan. We won't have a club to follow if this lunacy continues! Tan only deals in one thing and that's money, take his money away and he will go. Stop going to the games and funding his pockets, take a stand. :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Would there be any legs in identifying email addresses, social media accounts and review pages of his other businesses and look to get everyone messaging on a daily basis. If it was organised and we could get volume you would think it would be hard to ignore??

Deffo gota do something , Tan needs to see the protests that we done want him here , we gotta get the clown out of our club .
I will be there for definite every f*cking time

Re: Active Protests from Match Day 1

I disagree with those not renewing their season ticket. That's just acting like an individual and cutting your jose to spite your face. It's relatively ineffective unless organised. This is our club, we stay, we collectivise, we attend matches but boycott in various ways, mass walk outs, mass boycotting of catering, banners. This will need leaders and organising. Personally though, i think people are jumping the gun a bit, let's see who is appointed and how swiftly it's done. I'm not a massive Lamouchi enthusiast. But Time isn't on our side with the best loan/free bargains being snapped up early on.

Absolutely not. Get over yourselves! How is that going to help? Creating a negative atmosphere for players and fans alike?

This is not the way to do it. Find an alternative first. We don’t want to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. People on here complain about us sacking managers without planning for a replacement, then expect us to do the same with our owner.

Instead of calling “Tan Out”, let’s call for “(whoever) in!”

Get real people.

I'll be there at any protest against this regime. They are a joke and running our club into the ground. Enough is enough!
I've also renewed my season ticket because I'll always support my team on the pitch.

I'm not nessacarily wanting Tan out, only because i worry about the character of any future owner which isn't a massive endorsement of Tan. I would protest to send a message to the club that certain things need to change, i think fans collectivising and getting a say enriches the football experience. Brings us together.
One aspect i will credit the club about is season ticket prices. Personally i think football is over priced but within that over priced paradigm, we are on the cheaper side with prices which is good. South Wales isn't a wealthy region and football should be accessible to the working class.

Do (quote) "absolutely nothing" or simply decide it's not a route they want to go down...? :?

Lots of options on the table, if that is what is required but I would suggest anyone thinking of organising such 'protests' go speak to some of those involved at the sharp end last time. I know several who would not want to get involved again after the experience...

Re: Active Protests from Match Day 1

The problem with protests is they have to be mass protests or it looks like a few disgruntled fans.

180 fans is 1% meaning when spun 99% are happy........

losing a few thousand season tickets is harder to spin

If organised I will be attending, everyone knows that there is one direction under tan and thats a freefall down the football league. The fans need to get organised and protest on mass to prevent this from happening.
