The club say in their statement they've already "begun the process of appointing a new management team".
I'm not expecting a good appointment.
Statement:
Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that Sabri Lamouchi will depart at the conclusion of his current deal.
Sabri joined the Bluebirds at the end of January 2023, overseeing 18 fixtures, and winning six matches. Cardiff City would like to thank Sabri for his efforts and contribution in helping us secure our place in the Championship for 2023/24 and wish him all the very best for the future.
The Board of Directors at Cardiff City FC have already begun the process of appointing a new management team.

It’s got yo be Jones

Shocking really. And the speed that our club move we won't have one in time for pre season either. So we'll immediately be 4 weeks behind everyone else!
Well done everyone involved. Bellends.

If they were already in talks it would be a major shift in policy from Vincent Tan who usually just fires or releases managers with no plan in place as to who will replace them.
My guess will be that in about four weeks time after the club tell us about the massive amount of high quality applicants they've had for the job they'll appoint Darren Purse due to his excellent results in training.

Starting the process probably means, starting to write the job advert, or maybe offering it to Sol?

I believe they been in contact with him and he’s was always the back up to Sabri.
Seems quite obvious.

Yeah… Dave Jones

My first instinct was Nathan Jones. Available, desperate to improve his reputation, former player at the club. Probably fairly cheap.

I agree, they'll offer it to Bamba. He's cheap and this regime will think the fans will love it.

It won't be Bamba. He has loyalty to Lamouchi, will join him in his next job.

If a manager is desperate to improve his reputation i'm not sure joining a money starved side with a transfer embargo is the way to go. We'll appoint the slightly desperate or Jones. I would've thought Jones would be out of our price range unless his phone hasn't rung at all since his Southampton sacking. I'd love Jones to build something here

I thought he was a Cardiff fan?

Born in Blaenrhondda, Jones grew up as a Cardiff City fan. When asked in an interview by WalesOnline last April if his love for the club still remained, he replied: "Absolutely. I grew up in the Rhondda valley where all my mates were Cardiff fans. I had the chance to sign for Bristol City or Cardiff City and I signed for Cardiff City.
"I worked on the turnstiles when I was an apprentice and then rushed and watched all the games. All my mates came down and then we would all go back and chat about the games. I love Cardiff City.
"I grew up in the Rhondda and it's either Cardiff or Swansea. There's probably more Cardiff fans in the Rhondda valley than Swansea. I want to see Welsh football do well. I played for Merthyr. I want to see Merthyr do well and Newport. It's better when Wrexham, Newport, Cardiff do well."
Jones and Cardiff have had a whirlwind year since then. Jones' Luton failed to reach promotion to the Premier League last season, although they are once again in the play-offs this time around such were the foundations he laid there, however he himself was elevated to the top flight after being appointed Southampton manager in November. His reign lasted only four months, though.
Meanwhile Cardiff have got rid of Morison, Mark Hudson and now Sabri Lamouchi in that time, while battling relegation for a second successive year.
Now, Cardiff are without a manager, with the club having announced that Lamouchi's contract wouldn't be renewed on Wednesday, and Jones is without a job, having been sacked by Southampton back in February, and tops the bookmakers' odds lists for the Bluebirds gig.
Some might join the dots and think it is all falling into place for Jones to return to his homeland. Well, he said last year he would find it very hard to turn down.
"You never know where your career is going to take you," he said. "Here at Cardiff, Steve has just come in and implemented something so he will need time.
"But, look, eventually, you never know. It's not something I can sit here now and say, 'Yeah, it's something I really want to do', but, being home in Wales, I love Wales, I am a very proud Welshman, it's a long way in the future but I would never turn that down."

I understand your thinking but surely managing Cardiff would be a dream come true for Bamba.

Guessing when dalman the spin doctor said they wanted to know what vision he seen they didn't like him asking for his own staff and some players so it didn't happen. Does not supprise me one bit. Here's 50 pence you got what's here carry on.... no chance he probably said and left whatever meeting happened.
Queue the next puppet trying to work with what's here but it won't stop us being fans

TBH I was too, but I think his love for Cardiff is because of us fans and not the clown that's running it into the ground.

Dunno mate but Tan won't have anyone who he sees as more popular than him as we saw with MM.

I think Tan knows he'll never be popular with us fans now. Bamba will be cheap which is more important to Tan.

People may be surprised, given what I've been told.
Not something I agree with but it is interesting.

Is he a ‘name’ as a manager or from current staff?
I understand if you can’t say.
