CCFC retained list

Thu May 18, 2023 10:43 am

The deadline for submitting retained lists to the EFL is this Saturday.

Who's deciding ours?

I think Lamouchi had had some input but obviously he's out of the picture now. We may or may not have a new manager by then but he won't have worked with any of the players. Is Tan doing it himself?

We could get rid of players the new boss could have wanted and keep players he doesn't want.
Another fine mess.

Personally i would let go anyone who contract will end soon and keep the ones on mid-long term contract.
I would do everything to keep Mark Harris who contract runs out in June.

Players like simpson whyte and wintle can go.

I despair at this forum sometimes

Once and for all. Players under contract have to sign the transfer papers or accept a settlement to rip up an employment contract. These boys are earning between £300k-£750k per year. Who in their right mind would allow that to happen unless you were going to a better contract? And let’s face facts not many are on an upward trajectory

We are stuck with all our contracted players as I doubt many could raise a fee and then be on more money.

Harris may have to go to make fresh funds for the obvious new blood we need.

If we’re having to cut the pennies that Harris is on (relatively) in order to make new signings, then we are well and truly screwed.

I think its about 7 going, we don't need 7 replacements we need 2 or 3 decent ones. If Harris makes up the salary then so be it.
