Tan did not decide to get rid of Sabri Lamouchi because he had someone else lined up to come in, pure bullshit. No great surprise there because we never do have any stability or if fans attach themselves to a manager , I think it gets to Tan. They also said they originally had someone lined, then they have many lined up, the shot that comes from this lot is unreal

Speaking to my father just now and he's not clued up on tbe politics of the club and goes to a few games , he said he's not surprised the club never kept him on coz the results were naff . Hard to argue against that.

Exactly what some on here were saying until we didn't keep him on & then it was Tan's fault he didn't stay because he's a cheap ass.

Just another stick to beat Than with. The same posters were probably desperate for us to get Mick McCarthy on a contract after a few good results, and begging for us go all out to get OGS as our manager. Lamouchi talked a good game, but everything else was lacking.

People keep forgetting that Lamouchi was presented with a sub-par championship squad, none of whom were his players, and then had to save the team from relegation. Not exactly an easy job. It was a job that not a lot of managers wanted!

People are also conveniently forgetting that Tan is, pure and simple, a dictator. You do it his way or not at all. To say that he got rid of Lamouchi because of results is bullshit. He got rid of him because he couldn't control him. I suspect that Lamouchi had players targeted but the wages may have been more than we are currently paying. Tan wants a manager he could go to and say "Who is the tallest player in the squad?". Even if he was the goalie Tan is likely to say "If he is the tallest put him as centre forward". Total control freak!

And your opinion on tan comes from where? Not saying your wrong cos you may be right and your entitled to think what you like.
Truth is only lamouchi and tan know what happened.
Like I said previously I believe no contract was offered to him

I wasn't totally convinced by SL and was hoping for at least a bit of consistency or a plan if we weren't going to offer a new contract. Now I am disappointed to see we have neither and are in limbo again. However those saying Sabri's results were poor. Didn't he get a team that hadn't won a match in something like 2 or 3 months to win 6 matches. His brief was keep us up he delivered that. I would have been prepared to see what he could do with some players of his choice next season.

Welll some people have to work night shifts and are not obsessed with posting 24/7.
The fact is there if someone was lined up to take over from Lamouchi’s, he would of already been appointed

Why am I being called a child?
Asked a genuine question! I get the bit about no one being appointed straight away, I even referred to it myself after initial post.
I'm just trying to point out there is alot of speculation and assumptions flying around the board when no one other than the 2 involved has any clue the reasons why lamouchi wasn't offered or refused a contract.
Tan may be busy working on his plan as I type lol.
I'm by means no tan lover and agree his time here is done, unless he can pull a rabbit out of the hat. But having been a city fan for so long one thing you've got to have is hope

Others have been trying to do that for years and failed...!

The silence coming from the club is deafening,I am fast coming to the conclusion that things are being made up on the hoof, I’ve no problem whatsoever with the decision,however it was reached for Lamouchi not to continue as manager as,in spite of the arguments put forward by some about the lack of quality in the squad he inherited,I found many of his selection decisions totally baffling and the warm words he had about some of the younger players was incompatible with the lack of playing time given to them, Burnley being the prime example.


I feel totally frustrated by the current situation and what angers me even more is my conviction that in spite of the chaos down the M4, the jacks will make a better job of choosing a new manager than us.
