Mehmet Dalman has got his way:

Tue May 23, 2023 4:12 pm

UPDATED: Thursday 25th May 2023

Nothing has been decided or signed and both Tan and Dalman are divided on who should get the next Cardiff City job.

Tan apparently has given in and Steve Morison won’t be our next manager and in the race now is a foreign manager and it’s looking very likely , but No British experience.

But Dalman has been increasing his lending money to the Bluebirds at 10% interest over the last 2 seasons, Tan has not had to put any new money in, so Dalman is starting to get way more say.

I am really glad on two bases if this is true

1. I don`t think going back to Steve Morison as manager would be the best solution for the club
2. At last someone is standing up to Vincent Tan`s dictatorial manner of ownership. Ken Choo won`t , for both cultural and financial reasons.

As I understand it there are both UK and foreign based managers on the potential interview short list. Whoever gets the job we need it to be the best possible candidate available within the financial constraints he will have to operate under unless and until the EFL reverse their current position on a transfer embargo. Even then , there is highly unlikely to be a significant transfer kitty available if we are to remain within the Profitability and Sustainability rules.

Not a fan of Dalman but on this occasion i'm glad he has won the argument. It is now vital that the right pedigree of manager is brought in, let's hope they at last get this correct. What i don't understand is why has Tan allowed Dalman to invest around £30 mill in the club at 9% intrest rate?? Surely it's Tan that has to pay this rate. ??

Interesting.

But people shouldn't get their hopes up, this new manager will probably not be great.

Getting a bigger say lately, our next owner I think.

First we need a good experienced manager with some good coaches.
Never go back it hardly ever works a second time, move on.
Looking like Dalman is slowly buying into the City convert his loans into shares then take over as owner.

Blessin odds now 7/1 but whoever the manager is I'm glad the club didn't go the easy way out with Bamba and Morrison

So the compromise is that they BOTH don't get their man. How daft.

Would explain Mehmet's ascertion Tan won't sell to Sam... ;)

Always felt it a huge shame they couldn't do something together. I've always felt Sam's love and knowledge of football with Tan's backing would see this club secure in the top division

I seriously can't see that happening.

This is going to turn out as a one man show.

MD will need contacts as if he wants premier league football he knows he will have to spend so why not get SH on board who has contacts and knowledge of the game.
Plus hopefully if it did happen MD would see by the mistakes made he needs a DoF in straight away.

Up to tonight:

NO CONTRACT HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR A NEW MANAGER

If nothing signed, does that mean one has been offered though pal?

Vinnie is open to selling his football clubs. He is sick of them and has no interest anymore. His inflated values of said clubs means no forth-coming sale.. Relegation awaits. For sure!

Tan originally had one drawn up for Morison, but Dalman talked him out of it.
