“ All Championship Clubs Wages 2022-23 “

Wed May 24, 2023 7:16 am

Based on how much each Championship club is spending on wages, these have been the biggest over-performers this season.

Coventry & Luton way out ahead of the rest.

Proves it can be done on a small Budget.

Do you know if this is just players wages or weekly wages for the club as a whole ?

The figures appear to be total wages for all employees rather than just player wages.

On that basis, the May 2022 audited accounts show the CCFC figure to be just over £158k per employee. This figure will have come down a lot since as player wages represent a large majority of the total figure and yje player wage bill was significantly reduced last Summer.

This is a bit of a strange post. It is an exact copy of a post I made elsewhere in response to a query about the accuracy of the published figures.

Either Ninian27 is pretending to be me (for reasons that are a mystery ) as I never post under this user name, or it is just someone who copies other people`s posts and pretends they are his own. Perhaps Ninian27 could clarify

Keith, sadly it's not the first time this particular character has 'cut and paste' as if it's his own.... :(

I have my suspicions... :ayatollah:

So we are top dead centre on wage budget, half way. So we weren't the only team signing not-so-free "freebies" or bargain basement.

It shows that giving the job to an absolute rookie was madness, one we will still feel the effects of for another season.

look at the top 5 overachievers

Mark Robbinbs - experienced
N.Jones/Edwards - experienced
Mowbray - very experienced
Rowett - Experienced
Tomasson - inexperienced at the championship but this is his 10th season in management

It's a tough unforgiving league that prays on the weak. We were weak. No more rookies
