' Sory Kaba '

Sory Kaba has been omitted from the Guinean squad for their upcoming AFCON qualifier against Egypt and friendly against Brazil, despite a superb half-season loan with Cardiff City.

It is no exaggeration to say that Kaba was a huge reason why Cardiff maintained their Championship status. The striker, who came on loan from FC Mitdjylland, scored eight goals in 17 games for the Bluebirds and brought a whole new dynamic to the attack.

After such excellent form, it is surprising to see that he has been left out of the Guinean squad.

Speaking about the decision, head coach Kaba Diawara said: “There are about 50 Guinean players (to choose from). Sory Kaba, he scored in club football, yes, and (Ibrahima Sory) Sankhon is also the former best player in the Guinean championship.

"There is a group logic that is created I made choices, that is all."

Quite what the future has in store for Kaba is anyone's guess at present.

Cardiff clearly want him back, but Midtjylland might want to keep hold of him themselves. Failing that, they will want a lofty transfer fee, which Cardiff cannot pay at present due to their partial transfer embargo.

Would have welcomed him back on loan even until Dec this year - But now the manager has gone and the unknown .
Why would he come back - He did enough here to be in that international squad - they must have some world beaters

He's just posted a random video out of the blue while at Cardiff. After dalman saying Cardiff trying to sign a player today.... Certainly caught people's attention.

We can't pay transfer fees or loan fees and he's out of contract in a year so I imagine Midtjylland would want to sell him this summer.

I'm sure he would see that as an insult and I wouldn't blame him.From being considered for the top job and currently being number 2 to being relegated to the kids coach.If that were to happen I'm sure he'd walk and then people on here would be having a pop at Tan for not treating him right.
