I just spoke to Mehmet Dalman and he said a deal for a new manager is close.


He also said the transfer ban is with the EFL, not FIFA or both. It has been appealed and they’re waiting to hear back. There’s a transfer they’re trying to do at the moment and that’s not dependant on the new manager too, it’s the Boards decision.

So a transfer would be from aboard as we can't sign anyone from the EFL
Unless a player out of contract from the EFL is in Dalman's eyes a transfer

We can only sign free agents or loan players without fees until Summer 2024, that hasn’t changed but it’s been challenged

Looking at this Forum today, that all seems to make sense...

I really hope the player referred to is Sory Kaba and I believe there are ways to get his signing done; even if on another loan with a view to purchasing when the transfer fee ban ends (be it soon or next summer)

I personally believe the new manager is very close to signing but to speculate who that might be is a guessing game, as we've been 'shocked' at the levels of secrecy before now...

Whoever it is I'll get behind him and hope the club's hierarchy do too...

This coming season (whichever way the legal battle goes later this month) is going to be pivotal to our future...
