Sabri Lamouchi linked with new job
Reports in France have linked Sabri Lamouchi with a return to France to manage SM Caen.
The Frenchman was let go by Cardiff a fortnight ago after guiding the Championship club to safety, but Vincent Tan has decided to go another way and the Bluebirds are on the lookout for a new boss of their own.
Many believe Lamouchi did enough to earn another contract, however Tan always has the final say and he opted against keeping the 51-year-old on.
Chairman Dalman had told Cardiff fans that he wanted Lamouchi, but Vincent Tan had already decided otherwise.
Caen are in the second tier of French football and play their final Ligue 2 match tomorrow, away to Pau, which is expected to be Stéphane Moulin's last game as manager.
And according to Malherbe Inside, Lamouchi is the hot favourite to take over the club in the north of France.
Sol Bamba?
Quite where that would leave Sol Bamba, whose contract expires at Cardiff at the end of this month, is as yet unknown.
Will he follow Lamouchi to his next gig? Or will he decide to stay on when Cardiff appoint a new boss? An intriguing sub-plot to all of this.
Former Aston Villa player and Red Star manager Habib Beye is also thought to be in the frame.
