' Darren Moore quizzed on McGuinness '
Darren Moore has been quizzed on the possible return of Mark McGuinness to Sheffield Wednesday.
McGuinness, 22, was a huge part of the Owls' promotion success last term, having enjoyed a stellar half-season loan with the Hillsborough side before being recalled by Mark Hudson in January.
The Republic of Ireland youth international was a mainstay for the Bluebirds upon his return, helping them avoid relegation down to League One.
Now Wednesday have achieved promotion, there has been speculation that the Owls might move for McGuinness, who, despite having only a year left on his Bluebirds deal, would cost a pretty penny for the Yorkshire club, one suspects.
When quizzed on the possibility of bringing McGuinness back to S6, Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield:
Darren Moore:
"Speaking truthfully, Mark is not somebody that we have spoken about at any great length. In terms of any of the players out there, there are none that we are talking (to) at the moment because I think it is essential that myself and the chairman get together first.
"It is how far we can go with the strategic plan that we have got and how aggressive we can go with that plan at this stage. Once we start getting those messages and answers, we can start putting that physical plan into action."
