https://twitter.com/MCriscitielloEnglish referee Anthony Taylor was abused by a crowd of Roma football supporters on Thursday following the Europa League final between the Italian capital side and Sevilla.
Taylor and his family were at Budapest airport making their way home when they were confronted by fans angry with the official's performance in a game they lost to the Spaniards on Wednesday night.
It was a heated game, with the whistler branded a "f****** disgrace" by Roma boss Jose Mourinho after the match, with footage circulating on social media of the Portuguese waiting for Taylor in the car park after the final whistle.
And the heat continued today, with Manchester-born Taylor abused by supporters at the airport in Budapest, with police and security having to help them through to a safe area as chants became more vociferous. At one point a chair can be seen to be thrown.
