Erol Bulut Cardiff City’s new manager:
Bulut has been a manager for six years, but the move to Cardiff will see the former Turkey Under-21s international work outside his homeland for the first time.
He moved to Fenerbahce - where he had spent four years as a player - in the summer of 2020 but departed in March 2021 with his team third in the Turkish top flight.
Bulut was soon back in management with another Super Lig club, Gaziantep, where he was in charge for 18 months before leaving following a disappointing run of results in January 2023.

) had this guy anywhere on our radars...Only time will tell but having researched a little, I think this appointment could be a good one...

Annis all though I’m underwhelmed by the new manager.
I have actually seen his previous team in action Alanyaspor. My friend had a villa in Alanya and we used to go and watch them as he had a season ticket, every time I visited. Alanyaspor did well with him in charge and played some decent football so we’ll see. They finished 5th in the Turkish lge and got to a cup final. The standard in Turkey is about the same as the championship I would say. Caulker used to play for him at Alanya, and he took him to Fenerbahce then when he moved there. We have to get behind him regardless. Bluebirds

I agree.
When at Fenerbahçe he manged Mehzut Ozil and Enner Valencia.
I don't think he was sacked at Gazientep. I think they just stopped playing after the earthquake - and probably have quite a few players now out of contract
