How long contract?
One year. It shows we have a target and we can continue this work together. One year plus two.

Coaching staff?
Yes, two of my old staff will be with me. In the following days I will speak with a few others, we will have to speak in the coming days.

Target for the club this season?
First of all, the training camp and sessions we have to observe what we have and what we need. I have watched two or three games and already we can see what kind of players we have to take for the new season.

To be honest whilst many will be excited about a new manager (yet again!) Logically I am not hopeful at all. There`s probably only 4 or 5 players most of us would keep, most of the non performers will be here next season as the signed en masse last summer and no doubt quite rightly Bulut will want many new players. Why don`t our owners ever learn this cheapskate philosophy of signing cheap and rubbish managers and players has failed and failed. I don`t expect Tan to spend millions as he`s clearly had enough and wants out but a team in the play offs is a lot more saleable than the death spiral we`re in now.
By the time Bulut has signed his loanee`s and freebies we`ll probably be back to a squad of 25 with at least 10 we don`t want and 10 unknowns. Its a complete shambles and we are not even learning from our mistakes.
Having said that, it will all work and we`ll be champions by Easter !!

We could probably have had Nathan Jones relatively cheaply. Southampton have to pay him compensation and I dont think its been sorted yet. Usually in such cases that compensation is reduced if the manager gets a new job. But its usually depends upon his new salary. As a rule of thumb the more he gets the more his compensation is reduced by. So if he had been offered a lowish package- not too low so as to be obviously taking the piss- Southampton would have to cough up more.

While I don't completely disagree with you. The environment always plays a big factor in how a team performs. If you can get things right behind the scenes, make players want to come to work everyday, other things can fall into place.
I'm not saying we have a great squad capable of challenging at the top either. But I don't think we have a poor one in the right circumstances either. It'll need adding to, three loans to replace the outgoing etc. But there is some cause for optimism.
