Blackburn to consider offers for left back
Blackburn Rovers will consider offers for left-back Tayo Edun with Cardiff City keeping tabs of the situation.
The Bluebirds went in for Edun on deadline day in January, but a loan move was blocked. It is understood Cardiff continue to monitor the player as we head into the summer window.
He is not out of contract, but is behind Harry Pickering in the pecking order at Ewood Park and, according to the Lancashire Telegraph, he could be allowed to leave on loan or even permanently this summer.
"Pickering is expected to continue as first-choice left back next season, with Rovers likely to consider offers for Tayo Edun who has failed to displace him since his arrival for around £400,000 in the summer of 2021," the Lancashire Telegraph report.
"Rovers will consider a move for a left back should Edun move on, either permanently or on loan."
Cardiff expect Jamilu Collins to be back fit for the start of the season, while Callum O'Dowda and Joe Ralls have both played there in the last year. Joel Bagan is out of contract but there is still a discussion to be had over whether he will stay following the appointment of Bulut.

Who knows if it is genuine? It's just a report but I'm sure any targets the club have will have been evaluated in terms of availability, value and cost

Not enough as we will still be stuck with the Embargo.

Never really noted if the embargo could be lifted if we coughed up all the cash?
I assume by your response that the embargo remains, whatever.

From what I have been reading yes.
The EFL have made this so and we are appealing against it against the Ridsdale.

This embargo is rotten to the core and has The Riddler all over it.

Its all paper talk, although more than last season I do not think there'll be that many cash transfers.
Very few championship clubs have a pot to pizz in, so there won't be many 100K~500K transfers. Those who can, who want a certain player will go for it but it will be a few million, its go big or go home; otherwise, I can see clubs wanting to see if the player's agent can arrange a "mutual severing" if the other club wants to move a player on.
No reason why the player can't buy himself out for a nominal fee and CCFC cover that on top of his contract over the length of their contract.
A lot of premier league clubs have let a lot of decent players run out their contracts, last season we were not at the races looking at these players, no reason why we can't be this.
Would we really demand a fee if someone wanted Sawyers or Ojo ?
