" Trouble in Prague for West Ham UEFA final "

Wed Jun 07, 2023 5:27 pm

West Ham won the UEFA Conference League Final 2-1.

West Ham have their European final against Fiorentina in Prague tonight.

Plenty of videos going around of West Ham fans being attacked by either Fiorentina fans or the Czechs.

West Ham fans have thrown plastic cups at Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi and the back of his head in bleeding

They're not helping their cause or the team by throwing things on the pitch every time the ball is down that end.

Agree, their fans have just thrown plastic cups at Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi and the back of his head in bleeding

That object that hit him looked a bit more solid than a plastic cup & it was red, maybe a flare casing?

Can't see how this game ends with 22 on the pitch either the way people are falling over clutching their face like someone punched them and there are some seriously dodgy tackles out there.

West Ham won the game 2-1.

Jarrod Bowen was rejected by us as a teenager and he scored the late winner.

We also tried to sign him when Sala died but he didn't want that sort of responsibility with the move at that time, understandably.

We did indeed reject him and he's gone on to be a superb player, that's football I guess and glad he's kicked on with his career although it would have been nice if it was with us.

Well done the 'Ammers, first trophy since 83, a proper club with proper fans. Pleased for Moyes too, he took a battering at Man U and he deserves this.

The law in England and Wales prohibits the consumption of alcohol within the view of the pitch. Think it was brought in around mid to late 80’s. Technically applies to supporters coaches on their way to and from a game, if I remember correctly.

I stand to be corrected but I'm pretty sure most of the beer they sell inside the stadiums abroad is alcohol free.

not sure if that's everywhere but it was in the 2016 Euros. Something like 0.5 % which i think constitutes alcohol free.

We were at that ground in 2021 with Wales and I'm pretty sure it was then.
