he can sign, just the contract with a new club wouldnt come into affect till July

Correct and our support need to be patient, as our new manager has only just arrived

There is so much going on behind the scenes most wouldn't believe and the potential of getting Rambo in is a strong possibilty but not yet set in stone

Several good signings are on the cards but in true Bluebird form they will be kept under wraps until the ink is dry...

He keeps his cards very close to his chest, so don't expect any 'leaks' from his side or the club's no matter who the source and watch this space...

Lots of stories floating around, including that his contract was extension was triggered (but not necessarily signed) after certain figures were hit and also that he wants 2 years rather than one at Nice

The most reliable reports are that his family want a return to Cardiff and he is considering a move to his hometown club...

I agree with someone who said it smacks of Gareth Bale again but I think Rambo's Bluebird ties are stronger than that

I'm one to refer to him as 'the politician' but he's put his neck on the line here and will be judged and/or called out on the sincerity of his rhetoric...

I've long learned to take nothing for granted at our club, so it all remains to be seen whether it was just bluster or the winds of change...

I remember when he first came here, he was very approachable and I recall a game up at Crystal Palace (the one where we lost a 2-goal lead to a single-handed Zaha) where he held an impromtu Q&A session outside the ground

How/why he changed (and his 'admission' his eye has been off the ball for the last couple of seasons) is his to is his to live with but he will 100% be judhed on his actions/words of the last week and it will make or break him in the eyes of the Bluebird support...

100 percent agree. His disappearence from us also may well coincide with failed Charlton take over.

No one has said Rambo is signing; we have simply said it's a possibility that Mehmet has agreed is under investigation

But you know the score; like with Bale it will be a 'will he/won't he' scenario until it is confirmed or otherwise

You are equally right that Rambo is a completely different character to Gareth Bale regarding his first club and it's reported his immediate family would like him to come home

Other players have done it. Maybe not at our club; but when did we last have a genuine 'star' player leave ud for the 'Top 6'?
