I was under the impression that Leahy was getting rave reviews?

I seem to remember people on here and social media calling for him to be involved in the first team?

Strange to see him go if that's the case

Not sure about offering Mark Harris a new contract.

Would hope him, Eli King and Joel Bagan are only offered another year, giving them just another chance to prove themselves.

No huge surprise with the others, including most of the U21s going.

Unbelievable Mark Harris.

I smell Tans involvement again.

This list was done way before Erol arrived.

Because he’s very very cheap, but can’t score goals.

Maybe he is going to a winger.

I'm baffled how u can say who comes or goes without a manager clearly this was done way before the manager come in. Football is run by owners and transfer committees all it is these days and a so called manager faces the music when it goes wrong for them making final decision with everything. Modern football is dogshit imo.

This list has been published 'late' to say the least...

I don't know the thoughts behind it but it is likely that this list was pre-submitted to the EFL on time. Equally, I would think Erol Bulut would have had the list and the justfications explained to him; a seemingly pointless exercise that smacks of a later claim of 'consultation'

Either way, few of us know what the coaching staff see behind the scenes and/or what the vision is for the future...

Personally, I am 'happy' with Eli King and Joel Bagan have been offered contracts. I believe both can push for the first team under a good manager

As for Mark Harris, I appear to be in the minority who believes he has a place in out squad if his remit is altered to more of a wide player

Whatever happens, I wish all players staying and going the very best of luck and thank them for their efforts for Cardiff City FC... :ayatollah:

Let's remember that many of those on the 'retained' list are still under contract, so not able to simply be 'shown the door'

Some, if not many, of those who remain will be put up for transfer and/or invited to find other clubs...

One thing seems certain; the owner 100% won't be 'buying out' any contracts... ;)

I think Sang will be back in the Championship within a few years, quite unlucky not to get a run in midfield here and I think his days were numbered when he was chucked in at right back against Leeds

I like Sang and Harris and think the flack that Harris gets in particular is harsh. Perhaps they are limited footballers by championship standards but they both work their socks off and give their all. I'd take both over the likes of Ojo any day of the week! We've got to allow for new players coming in though whilst keeping the squad size below 30 (ideally around 25) so reckon its right that 1 or even both move on. Defo keep Bagan and King in the hope they kick on and avoid the dreaded growing pains (seems rife with the youngsters in the club at the moment!!!)

Sorry but Harris is a striker at the end of the day, goals scored not good enough for this level. Suprised by that.

This is just the latest example of what’s happening :

Jack Leahy was highly rated by Accademy managers , Glen Williams ( media Wales ) and quite a few fans who watched him.

Sent out on loan to the Welsh League in January, released by Cardiff City in June.

How can a potential Championship player be sent to a Welsh League club, the standard is do low and the difference beyond m, then expected to make it at Championship level.

Haverfordwest County AFC are delighted to confirm the signing of Jack Leahy on loan from Cardiff City for the remainder of the season 2022-23.

The 20-year-old winger arrives on the final day of the January transfer window, and will provide another attacking option for the Bluebirds in Phase Two.

Sang going, is that a sign of incoming midfielders as that was his best position? Think the lad hasn't been given a fair crack compared to others.
Bagen has to make it this season.
Harris out wide same as Davies.
If we're keeping King how about using him?
More changes to happen hopefully.

Ireland's answer to Peaky Blinders, it has been mooted as having a 2nd season but if you missed any of Series 1, you will find it on the BBC iPlayer... :ayatollah:

If this coaches mantra is to improve youngsters then perhaps we should hold on to the likes of Bagen and King to see what he does with them not ship them off to Haverfordwest or the like.
Perhaps old white trainers wants some down his league?
