" Warnock told to sign ex-Cardiff favourites '
Huddersfield Town manager Neil Warnock has been told to sign ex-Cardiff City duo Junior Hoilett and Sean Morrison in order to help them stave off another relegation fight next year.
Hoilett has seen his contract run out at Reading, who have been relegation to the third tier, while Morrison's first season at Rotherham United was ruined by injury after just a couple of games for his new club.
It is understood both of them have been asked to stay on at their most recent clubs, however Warnock, who will remain with the Terriers next term, could have some say in whether they head to Huddersfield, one of Morrison's former clubs, of course.
Speaking to Football League World, former England, Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United midfielder Carlton Palmer said: "No sooner than Neil Warnock is reported to be staying on at Huddersfield Town as manager next season, he's been linked with two former players who have previously excelled under him, Junior Hoilett and Sean Morrison.
"Hoilett has been offered fresh terms at Reading, who are now relegated to League One. I would assume he would jump at the chance to play in the Championship and be reunited with his former boss, he's now 33 and has a wealth of experience.
"Sean has been offered fresh terms by Rotherham after an injury-ravaged season last season, so he might relish the challenge. But both would present cheap options and valuable experience to ensure Huddersfield don't end up in the situation they were in this season."
