Leicester City are set to appoint Scott Parker as their new manager.

Parker will replace Dean Smith - who was in temporary charge towards the end of the season, when they were relegated from the Premier League.

Parker's most recent job was with Club Brugge where he really struggled and got sacked after twelve games.

He has previously got Fulham and Bournemouth promoted from the Championship, both times with massive budgets.

He left Fulham when they were relegated from the Premier League in their first season back there and he was sacked from Bournemouth four games into the Premier League season after being promoted.

Very surprising. I don't view Dean Smith or Scott Parker to be anywhere near the level of manager a team like Leicester should be attracting, even after relegation. You only need to see how Bournemouth improved greatly once Parker left. Shouldn't imagine their fans are overjoyed with his appointment.
