Do not we need to replace Darren Purse as 21 manager before we lose talent that could be worth millions in the forthcoming years ?

Losing the lad from West Ham really disturbs me.

Since when is the Dog & Duck League of Wales a furtile breeding ground for young Championship talent?

Surely we need U-21 management with greater foresight and more expensive connections in the EFL and abroad - including Scotland?

I just hope Bulut seen the shortcoming of Purse and replaces him as a matter of urgency.

its hard to tell, i don't think any of us know the actual structure in place, Andy Legg spoke about the many issues before i believe, he's just the "head coach" of the under 21s, there is a head of academy who signs players, who lets which ones go etc, the players Purse picks, are from the under 21's down to the under 16s, he doesn;t have any say which ones move up into the first team, and which ones go out on loan. i remember someone saying before when Warnock was there, you could have 5 players who everyone thinks is ready for the step up to the first team, but if the first team manager doesn't want to, he can just leave them in the under 21's and then they are in limbo as their developement stagnates as it means they wont be training with the first team, and cant go out on loan.

as for the Peanke/Peake (can't remember his name) thats also for the first team manager, to bleed him into the first team and whether or not to give him a new contract

And every league 1, 2 and confernece club had decided not to sign him on loan too. Gonna magic a loan up?

Purse has nearly 700 hundred league appearances. Over 100 for us.

I know none of that makes him a great coach. But he is a lot more qualified to make these decisions than anyone on here. Fs

Sorry to be one of those people but the Cymru Premier team is Pontypridd United that we have sent players to on loan not this one mentioned.
But I agree, our academy/under 21 players should never be going on loan to Cymru Premier teams if they are are meant to be good enough. Vanarama National League would be better standard. Look at Wrexham and Notts County last season.
