Does Tan accept his reign is over?

Wed Jun 21, 2023 12:14 pm

I have no information on this point, but various factors might indicate this could be the case.

1. He has already sold Kortrijk
2. Dalman is having (apparantly) a much bigger say on proceedings
3. Dalman is now beginning to intimate that Tan is not the best owner (Dangerous game unless you want the sack)
4. Tan is seen less and less at games

I think it was referred to in another thread by another poster that Tan realises his time is now up, and he is potentially ending his involvement in football/

Good to hear peoples opinions. I hope he does realise, leaves and takes his brand of football and football knowledge with him.

I also think this season is very important as it will, in my opinion, show the club intentions for both the short and mid terms.

I think it's been over for a few years, he won't sell on the cheap to Dalman if that's what he is after it will be, pay up or shut up.

Mark,

Only his mate Wez will let us know when it’s really over , for some reason Wez fully supports the Dictator.

It is over, but he’s a lunatic and wants £200mill / plus all debts paid off.

Tan is at fault totally for all this £300mill

I have to agree with Annis here. VT is totally at fault. With a support base that we have, with the stadium capacity that we have, and with a £200m budget to build a project we should easily be a Premier league team year in year out.

The sad fact is that, rather than protect his investment, and allow those with appropriate knowkedge in the right department VT felt he could do everything himself and business doesn't work like that

Good well run companies have the right managers in the right jobs and they let them get on with things.

Yes VT has kept us afloat but he could have had something so much bigger. It's his own fault!

Paul,

I agree with everything other than he has kept us afloat, as it’s Ian foolish decs why we are in this mess, he put us in this debt , said years ago we would be debt free.

We are in this awful position due to how badly we have have been run from the very top giving all the orders, decisions and now we are borrowing.

His reign won't be over until he realises the club isn't worth what he wants for it.

Dalman is having more of a say due to the money he is putting into the club, and even that is for selfish reasons with the % in my opinion.

I concur with Annis here.

Tan has been a poor owner.
Snatching defeats from the Jaws of victory and adding millions of debt in the meantime.

Millions wasted on mediocrity.

Drama after drama, crisis after crisis.

Overseen turmoil that has favoured the Jack's and grown their fan base and dwindled ours....

Disgruntled fans at odds with each other and thousands who've given up. City A laughing stock by many other fans...

Yes, his time is up- has been for years. If he loved us he'd let us go....

Eddie,

That is very well put and sums Tans reign up in a few sentences.

It really is. The sad thing is that there are not many with VT wealth. He had all the tools needed to get us to the PL and to stay there. But rather than concentrate on what was important his attention was focused on Chinese superstition and how red was a lucky color and blue not. He concentrated on petty arguments with Malky. Yes Malky may have disrespected him but, over the shirts, he disrespected over 30,000. And unlike the former Leicester owner he didn't attend every game. In fact he used our PL status to "get in" with malaysian government like we were some sort of toy.

If he had concentrated on us, concentrated on growing is a business, like Sam would have done, he wouldnt have had to find losses each month. He wouldn't have had to worry about losing money on a sale

We have been an experiment and that's what upsets me. An experiment that he has got tired of and an experiment that his stubbornness refuses to sell to those who genuinely do care about the club

Tan is a deluded owner who is happy to keep away.
Simply nothing bothers him in terms of our club.
