Swansea City have confirmed the appointment of Michael Duff as their new manager.
The 45-year-old, from Northern Ireland, joins the South Wales club from Barnsley.
As a manager, he got Cheltenham Town promoted from League Two as champions in 2021.
He was appointed as Barnsley manager last summer following their relegation from the Championship. Last season Barnsley missed out on promotion in the League One play-off final due to a very late winner for Sheffield Wednesday in extra time.
He has signed a three year deal with Swansea after Russell Martin left to take the manager's job at Southampton.

Maybe I might be in the minority here but I just think that is a very underwhelming manager for Swansea. When they have had Brendan Rogers and Steve Cooper - the former manager of 1st Division Barnsley seems a little tame.
To the contrary I am excited about our new manager as, in comparison with the 3rd tier, he has managed at the very top of the Turkish Super League.

But haven't most of their managers been underwhelming when hired.... or so we thought.
They absolutely get it right 80% of the time.
Martinez, Rogers, Cooper, Potter and Martin all moved onwards and upwards. I can't remember when that last happened to us.

Nail on the head. The majority go on and get poached by bigger clubs. Where did Steve Morisson end up again? I'm sure he'll bring his team to my local park this season..

We'd turn Pep into Neil Harris. Swansea would turn Russell Slade into Pep.. its the law.

I feel compared to us part of the reason Swansea seem to get things right in terms hiring managers is the fact the football philosophy and style of play is already set in place. We seem to constantly be experimenting whereas the managers they get only have to tweek things a little.

Something I said in a letter to the club. Morison, although may not be a favourite of ours, was a breath of fresh air when it came to style of football. Would love to see that continue.
