why did they close the schools in cardiff today

the ryder cup though fantastic for newport and wales does not meen everything else stops,i think only 50000 people attend hardly enough for south wales to paralies itself.moan over

i know the reason newport schools closed, was mainly due to the fact the school buses were needed for park and ride and deliveries. not to sure about cardiff though, any excuse for a day off
