My View:

The local Media Glen & the CCFC Board continue to call them kids and big them up time after time and then it’s said they are going out to Non League or Welsh League to toughen them all up.
Bull shit. Not one Cardiff City player sent out to The Welsh League or Non League come back and make it, No wonder some players are actually now saying No.

League 1 or 2 yes, but NO lower. And at 21,22 & 23 they are not still kids and should be in the first team squad by that age if they are any good.

ITS GOT TO STOP / ITS PROVEN TIME & TIME AGSIN ITS A TOTAL FAILURE:

Keenan Patten aged 22:

Patten was sent out on loan Lower Non League Hereford in 2021-22 , returned to Cardiff City and then in January 2023 signed for them, but was released and has now Signed for Welsh League Club Barry United.

You can't say these players aren't good enough and then say they need to go to clubs higher up the pyramid.

I think all this is proving is our academy hasn't produced anything decent in a long while.

Nothing to do with loan destination, the media hyping them, etc. The players simply are not good enough.

I actually agree the majority were not good enough anyway, but the local media hype them up as they are stars.

But I stand by this sending them to The Welsh League / Non League we may as well given them them from the start because it’s proven they are not good enough to go to that standard.

its a strange one, soo many ex players all say the same thing, get out and go on loan, no matter where, as it will toughen you up, mentally and physically. so i have no issues with players going out on loan at these leagues, however they should be doing it at 16-17. by the time they are 18 we should then know whether or not we think they have potential to break into the first team, if its a no, then sadly, let them go. if its a yes then bleed them through
