' Cardiff City player Signs New 3 year contract '

IMO I dont think he is good enough, however I am willing to support him and I hope that he can push on this season if he can get a run of games :bluescarf:

Eli8King has signed a new three-year contract with #CardiffCity! King will be 21 years old this year and was sent out on loan to Crewe last season .

King has made 5 appearances including subs for the first team in the last 2 years.

Interesting:

It was def not our manager Erol giving King this 3 year contract.

Transfer Committee still totally in charge.

No other clubs have shown interest in King.

I really hope the lad becomes good enough to be in the first team this season, not sent out on loan to a Welsh League club.

Eli King:

"I'm absolutely buzzing. It's nice to get it over the line, and now start pre-season with the boys.

"Pre-season is about trying to impress, and get your fitness up as well. We've got games coming thick and fast in pre-season which will help us get our fitness up, but also help us develop as a team quickly under the new manager.

"I've had a taste of senior football, and I feel like I've developed a lot in these past two seasons through being involved in first team football. This season is about pushing on and being really involved in senior football."

Hes 21, congratulations on the contract, a dream for many, but at 21, I know lots will disagree, but he needs to be first team material.

Hes not.

At 21, you shouldnt be one for the future. He dosnt excel at Crewe, couldnt hold a regular first team place there.

A one year deal would have been reasonable, but this year needs to be make or break. Does King add the skill and flair to take us to the Prem?

3 year deal for a 21 year old who’s been unable to break into our first team and didn’t do particularly well at Crewe??

Absolute madness yet again from our so called transfer committee

1 year deal at the absolute most and I’m not sure he’s done enough to earn that!!

Agree, a one year deal would have been enough to give him one year to prove himself.

The fact he's got three years makes me think they plan on loaning him out to League One or League Two for the season and see how he does. That wouldn't happen on a one year deal. But a bit surprised it's three and not two.

Bit confused by the negativity here.

He isn't first team quality yet, but nor was Rhys Healey when we let him go. The same people complaining that we let him go when he had his run in a team and showed his worth were the ones complaining we should sell up and that he wasn't good enough.

Show us one, two or three Cardiff City player that have gone out on loan to The Welsh League and then made it in the Championship??
