Isaak Davies 22 years old in September

Striker 38 appearances / 2 goals

Like Colwill, academy product Davies endured a rather stop-start season, with injury ruling him out of pre-season and the first half of the campaign before the acquisitions of Sory Kaba and Connor Wickham at the start of the year slowed his progress somewhat.

Limited though they have been, it is still fair to say that Davies largely didn't take his chances when they arose last season and he cannot afford to make the same mistake this season if he is to avoid being muscled out by new signings.

Davies a winger for me with his pace, not a striker in the Championship.

There is every chance, however, that some stability after the constant chop-and-change of managers, could get his development back on track. For now, he needs to focus on getting a full pre-season in so he can hit the ground running in front of the new boss.

to be fair to him, he played out wide, and always looked good when he did feature, direct, quick and runs at defenders, big issue last season was we played far too narrow for him to be any real threat.

Trouble being with him out on the wing is his end product let's him down.

Plus I don’t see the confident wide runner that everyone else seems to see atm. Hopefully a good coach will get the best out of him.

He is not a winger (IMO), he is Earnie but without Thorny. Nowadays Earnie would have been thought of as a winger.

If we had a Keiffer, tuck him in close and see what happens. I liked the finish in his last home game for us
