Any over 50s who are divorced/ separated? Suddenly find myself split up with my long term partner at age of 51 and completely unsure of what the future holds. Few weeks ago I thought I had my future mapped out. How times change eh ?
Any advice gladly appreciated

I lost my wife to cancer when age 50 and just like you I thought my life and future was all good until then . It took me about 2 years to realise it never too late to start again and start enjoying life again. In fact once i realised that I have had some of the best years of my life . Things that seemed important in the past are no longer as important and with age comes greater wisdom to what is important .0
In fact it is 8 years on and met a lovely woman who lost her husband to cancer as well and now planning to get married.
So don’t think it is a dead end In time you will move on and just do what makes you happy

Got divorced at 52. Best thing I did. New lease of life and met someone else 18 months later so extra happy. Tough decision making at times, but does affect you and my son gave me the guilt trip. But for my sanity it had to be done, we had been together for 28 years. Hope no it works out for you mate

When my split happened
I was devastated and completely lost. Dark times.
Things were unsteady for quite a bit and you feel useless.
But, I can honestly say, it's the best thing that's happened to me.
At 51 I'm enjoying life. In fact, this year, I've been abroad every month since Xmas for one trip or another, not all mindless piss ups either lol!!!!
You'll find your feet mate, then comes your wings,,,, then you can fly high again Bluebird....
