Updated: “CCFC ANNOUNCE NINE PRE-SEASON GAMES”

UPDATE: Cardiff will play a closed-doors friendly against Fulham in London before travelling to Portugal for two games against Primeira Liga opposition The pre- season fixtures were all organised by the CCFC Committee:




3 Behind Closed Doors:

The Bluebirds will take on Cambridge United and Bristol Rovers on Friday, July 7 (3pm) and Tuesday, July 11 (3pm) respectively and both matches won't be admitting supporters. They will. however, be screened by Cardiff City TV.



In addition to these fixtures, Cardiff will then face as yet unnamed Premier League opposition believed to be Fulham behind closed doors, before heading to Portugal for a warm- weather training camp between July 17 and July 23. Two games in Portugal.






Erol Buluts team will have played 9 first team games before the season starts.

3 behind closed doors:

4 Games Fans can attend:

Plus Wycombe away: Fans can attend

And three Welsh League teams : Fans can attend

Fulham are the other team we will play BCD , before we travel to Portugal .

The team against the welsh league teams will not be the team to face leeds it will be a bunch of kids

A fair amount of games to get the fitness sorted. That’s the main point I guess.

just from a fans point of view apart from Wycombe not much chance of seeing the team. Or anythung near starting 11
away in Portugal
And kids against welsh prem teams

Yes it does make for a big start game
but i thought if fans get a chance to see something like an exiting looking team during friendlies season ticket sales could go up. But we will have to wait and see
it could not be any worse than last season surely.

At least with Fulham and two Portuguese sides to play there is much more quality and challenge than last season. Pre-season last year was very tin-pot.

Agree.

Went to Cheltenham last summer and, although there was a good atmosphere amongst City fans (it was a boiling hot day and plenty being drunk), it was probably our biggest test in terms of pre-season games.

The games we have this summer gives us much better tests.

People seemed to think the games against the Welsh teams were all we were going to have, was always likely that more would be added.

The schedule we have looks like a good pre-season plan to me.

The Bluebirds have announced they will be playing three behind-closed-doors matches in preparation for Erol Bulut's first campaign in charge.

The Bluebirds will take on Cambridge United and Bristol Rovers on Friday, July 7 (3pm) and Tuesday, July 11 (3pm) respectively.

In addition to these fixtures, Cardiff will then face Premier League side Fulham in London before heading to Portugal for a warm- weather training camp between July 17 and July 23.
