The 7777 Club

Did this Club exist I worked with a Valleys lad late 80's he used to go on and on about it!!

I've got a vague recollection, think it was on the outskirts of Maesteg!

Not anymore, I heard some stories about that place too! I know that its been shut 10+ years.

The 7777's Club was opposite the comprehensive school(the old one which is now a Welsh medium school) in Llangynwyd and was a two storey building with the lower floor a petrol station and the upper the club/nightclub. It was demolished many years ago and replaced with a single storey petrol station, which has also subsequently closed down thanks to the pilfering of the local school kids and staff which bankrupted the owner, although the car sales alongside it is still trading.

So in answer to your question, YES, there was a 7777's club in the Llynfi valley....

Nice one lads he always made out he shagged half the club round the back and one nicked his fags after!!
