A certain signing would add a few thousand I’m sure.

I haven't bought a season since we were turned red ,but if rambo does sign I will buy one ...

This is the first season in around 45 years I decided not to buy a season ticket following the ongoing embargo (which could be extended), constant change of management, owner who seems to have lost interest and general drop in standard of the squad.

I do intend to attend on a match to match basis, but if this season is similar to the last, I'll be remaining at home.
Enough is enough!

However, I can be persuaded.

I am warming to the new manager and if the club comes to an agreement with Rambo to join us, I'll look forward to purchasing for another season.

Joking aside, do they post their season ticket sales?

Looks like the new TV deal , which moves plenty of matches over the weekend , has made fans realise it’s probably still better value to purchase a season ticket, allow for matches being rescheduled and still miss as much as 10 games.

The last announcement from the club was when they surpassed 13,000, so that’s a huge jump in sales , did you get your info from the club Annis in respect of the 14,500 ?

I expect the official announcement will see a surge in sales.

To be fair to City, their promotion for season tickets has been brilliant. I was in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago and saw a few adverts.

Hopefully the fans have something to get behind.
We need to make the stadium our home.

That readiness to groan affects the players, as seen by results at home.. .

Would be nice to go for the craic like ninian park.
Fortress of noise

I expect a lot are waiting for the confirmation that he has signed for us before buying their tickets after being burned by the Bale fiasco.

That is brilliant. Barely 2 days. Long May it continue.

I'm 100% with Annis on this. Given City are 3rd cheapest in Championship and 7th out of 72 clubs, our sales are rather poor.
We're being put in the shade by lower league clubs and peers who we might regard as smaller clubs than us.

IMO there's no excuse for City not looking to shift up to 20,000 STs this season. Price combined with positive player recruitment is why this ought to be achievable.

Also throw in a strong Championship with quite a bit of quality opposition this season.

We can all agree what we SHOULD sell but the reality is much different.

Some clubs maintain their fanbase through thick and thin. These are hotbed of football that is the be all and end all of their community.

Others have fanbases that fluctuate much more with success and failure. These are in communities that seek out their entertainment from a much bigger choice of events.

We are in a small city that has multiple international and first class club sports played within it. and

We are also a city of immigrants not welsh born , lots of English with there home town loyalty live here too ,if we get 18k sesson ticket holders then I think that would be great .

Wayne S and Wez - both fair comment.

I would ask though, apart from international egg, what in Cardiff directly competes with the football club?

I understand a fluctuating fan base too but losing circa 13000 attendees from the CCS following relegation is an enormous drop off in support.

Maybe the Cardiff and surrounding population just need more instant gratification from their sport or just plain can't be arsed and are quite happy cracking one off over Pep and Klopp in front of the TV.

I really hope the atmosphere ramps up in the stadium this season too as its been as flat as a pancake for several years now (which wouldn't have encouraged repeat attendees)

It's not about competing with, because nothing can. It is about diminishing the number of potential fans.

For that we have Top League Rugby, Top league and highly successful Ice Hockey. The only top class ('ish) County Cricket club in the whole of Wales as well as there only being 18 of them in England and Wales.

I understand Cricket is a Summer sport but budgeting may not stretch to a couple of sports. Cardiff even got one of only 8 "Hundred Cricket Teams".

There are not many Cities that cater for so many sports and most of the others have much bigger populations.

We haven't even started to look at entertainment outside of sport. Cardiff has an exponential amount of entertainment venues and vistor attractions in comparison to its' size and that is due to being a capital city.

As I said, we should have bigger crowds but I can also see the wealth of entertainment available on a Saturday if you are not fanatical about your football.
