This forum since 4th June has stated strongly Ramsey is coming home :bluebird: :bluebird:

https://cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopi ... 2&t=233901

Cardiff City FC are delighted to announce that Wales captain Aaron Ramsey has returned to the Welsh capital, signing a two-year contract with the Bluebirds.

CARDIFF CITY FC:

We can officially announce Aaron Ramsey is a Bluebird again

The moment you’ve all been waiting for.

Welcome home, @aaronramsey.

#CityAsOne

YES RAMSEY DOES IT: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Nice officially confirm Aaron Ramsey’s exit and is NO longer their player.

Ramsey does it

Aaron Ramsey and his lawyer at Ramsey’s expense, were understood to be dealing with the termination of his contract with French club Nice on Saturday morning.

Once that issue was resolved which is now , there were still formalities about international clearance for the transfer and signing the Cardiff contract.

Ramsey has been based in south Wales in recent days and as such has been dealing with Nice from afar.

Well done Ramsey again

Even more respect for Ramsey after he's done all this.

Without him doing all that, would have been impossible for him to come back.

Ned,

He’s done it all , and at a cost to himself.

Got his own lawyer involved.

Took a big pay cut.

Approached Cardiff City first.

Never gave up

ALL GREAT / BRILLIANT NEWS:

Ramsey is expected to travel to Portugal to play the two matches.

Everything is now done Ramsey’s end ( Thank you Aaron)
Cardiff City have also done the medical, paper work , Ramsey has signed everything.

Just waiting on Nice’s end for the paper work to be sent to Cardiff, Thanks to Ramsey who has made it point black clear that he has NO intentions to return to them to play, Nice have come to an agreement with Ramsey.

As stated on here since the 4th June it would take time.

Ramsey has taken a hell of a pay cut to join his home club again

Monday is now expected for the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT, BUT IT COULD BE AS EARLY AS TODAY.

THANK YOU AARON RAMSEY

Updated:

Friday 7am 14th July Ramsey medical went well yesterday :bluebird: :bluebird:

Aaron Ramsey has passed his medical.

Thursday 13th July.

Aaron #Ramsey has terminated his contract with Nice, now he will sign a two-year contract with Cardiff City Once medical :
passed

Fair play Ramsey made all this possible, drop in wages, terminated his contract , chose his family and his home town first , Ramsey contacted the club a couple of months ago and asked to come back :bluebird:

RAMSEY IS COMING-HOME:

RANSEY HAS AGREED PERSONAL TERMS WITH CCFC MEDICAL TODAY

Ramsey has a medical booked today with Cardiff City.

Ramsey himself sorted out Nice etc

Ramsey has taken a massive pay cut to come home.

Ramsey could of stayed 2 more years with Nice.

Updated: Thursday 13th July 2023

Still looking very positive, but Nice now hold the ace card.

What I am hearing Dalman made an offer to Ramsey , was well below what Ramsey is use to.
But Ramsey has not wasted all
The money he has earned.
His time with his family means much more to him than the big money offers else where.

Ramsey is doing his best to get out of the trigger in the contract with Nice, might even have to buy out.
So yes if Ramsey expects some % of sakes season tickets / merchandise etc etc then yes for me he’s worth it.

Ramsey is doing everything in his power to come home

Updated: Wednesday 12th July 2023

Aaron Ramsey is very close to finalising a deal with Cardiff City, apparently on a two-year deal. Ramsey is in talks with Nice to get out the contract extension they are trying to trigger.

As I said weeks ( June 4th) ago Ramsey is determined to come back and home and it is a done deal now just waiting on paper work from Nice and FIFA.
No later than next Monday Cardiff have been promised.

Updated: Wednesday 12th July 2023

City board still believe Ramsey is coming back to Cardiff City and Dalman remains that a deal is done

Aaron Ramsey's contract at Nice expired last month, but it is understood Ramsey played enough games to trigger an extension clause.

There has been no announcement or confirmation, however, to suggest the relevant parties have agreed to him staying on with the Ligue 1 club after Ramsey failed to agree a long-term deal.

Ramsey is also adamant he wants to stay in Cardiff.

Cardiff and Ramsey is done all personal stuff sorted and contract done.

:bluebird: :bluebird:

Ramsey’s agent this week just gone met Dalman and Erol Bulut at The Vale Hotel.

Erol Bulut was very optimistic that it will still happen as he told his staff :bluebird: :bluebird:

There has been a few snags along the way, but mostly now sorted.

Good news :thumbright: :bluebird:

Clearly no coincidence that Dalman flew over this week.

I expect it helped that Bulut met his agent as well :bluebird:

Great news Annis, (hopefully) if it happens, he will make a HUGE difference to the dressing room and us fans

Would love him to sign but just sick of the circus now

Very much still on and only the powers at our club can mess this up :o

Over a month ago - I posted that Rambo would be back playing football in this country - This season .

Newcastle as I posted were interested in him and have made the midfield their number 1 target .
Went Italian could not get Barella and have now got Tonali from Milan .
So sort this out at CCFC Towers before a lower Premier side step in ;)

Annie, is this 100%?

Trying my best not to get too excited by this...but how good would it be to finally have some genuine creativity and vision from the centre of the park. I know he's getting on a bit but he's defo too good for the championship. It would be the lift we all need after 3 years of doom and gloom!!!

I just don’t get what some fans post on here.
Absolute nonsense.

This transfer if it happens and I believe it will is no different to most others.

I think when Ramsay gets back off holidays it will be announced.

Agree , it seems that some fans believe what they read on the Internet and listen to forums/ rumours but take it as gospel and use it to bash the club .

Nit sure he's on holiday as away but definitely he said he wanted a couple of weeks off with his family and he seemed to have been out and about all over Wales recently.

Ramsey is home, he was at Cefn Onn Parc this afternoon with his family.

Yep I was there too. We saw him as we were leaving, his kids said hello to my dog. I really wanted to ask the obvious question but my son stopped me.

Still unsure whether this will be a good signing or not? He was a great player a few years back, but what will we be getting now? How fit is he? does he have the appetite for a long season in the championship? They say never go back...so many questions!! :banghead:

Re: ‘ It’s still very much on ‘

Sun Jul 09, 2023 8:05 pm

He is not going to be the £40m player he was years ago at Arsenal and it might take him a while, longer than others, to get back to full fitness but whilst his body may be a bit slower than years ago those mental aspects of his game (Distribution, reading the game etc) will be better than most and that area of his game should be as sharp as ever.

I hope he signs because I think he can do a job for us.

He might not be a Premier League player any longer but he is the sort of player you want in your side if you are looking to push for promotion.

Of course it would be a good signing.

Can't believe some people are questioning his fitness. Averaged 60mins per game in Ligue 1 last season, which is a higher standard than the Championship.

He will be a top signing.
