The Project

One of the things I am liking, since the signing of Bulut, is the fact that players are referring to us as "liking the project".

To me this gives the impression that Mehmet has found someone with a specific plan in place, someone who is not prepared to stay in the Championship, and someone who appears to be putting a side together with the intention of that project being a plan to get to the Premier League.

This excites me and, for the first time in a number of years, I am actually looking forward to this season.

I look forward to every season , unfortunately the last 3 seasons my hopes have been dashed , by September .
But I'm quietly confident this season, it could be October

It does have the feel of a project since Bulut arrived. I have not felt this excited at the prospect of the coming season for many years. I think Bulut inspires confidence because he seems to know what he's doing and because he has 'fire in his belly' as Ken Choo said. But what he'll be like 'under fire' remains to be seen. What will he be like on a bitter December Tuesday in Sunderland with a cold easterly coming in from the North Sea? At the moment I feel that he could do well and the project could succeed - in a year or two.

I shudder when I hear the word "project".

It seems that when things go to shit it can all be forgiven because it was to be expected as it's all part of the "project"

The problem with "projects" is there never seems to be a time when the "project" finishes - it's neverending!
