" Yakou Meite will not be a striker "

Made this point when he was linked, as others did when he signed, and thought it would be the case.

Yakou Meite has confirmed that Erol Bulut sees him as a winger more than a striker.

This is what Meite said about his conversations with Bulut when it comes to his position:


"He told me that he has known me a long time, not only since he signed for Cardiff.

"He told me how he wanted to use me. He knew that I was playing a lot of positions, striker, on the wing, two strikers, a lone striker. I think he can use me in different positions, but at the moment, when we spoke, it was as a winger.

"But the season is long, it depends on how we do and the opponent as well."

We are short of a good quality RW now so I see this as good news. Good that he can also switch to striker if needed.
