" Aaron Ramsey's contract with Cardiff City "

Thu Jul 13, 2023 6:52 pm

Aaron Ramsey's contract with Cardiff City will be for two years, with an option of a third.

Ramsey himself turned down a lucrative deal to go to Saudi worth three times the package deal Cardiff offered.

Nice, decided to recall Ramsey and remind him he had to stick to his new 2 year contract that had come in to force after playing over 30 games last season for them and they had a deal on the table for Ramsey which he himself has had to sort out and terminate which has been very difficult.
This again was a lucrative deal worth double Cardiff City’s offer.

Ramsey had made his mind up months ago that he wanted to re-join his home town club Cardiff City and he has stuck to this and he himself approached Cardiff City.

There is only one person we can thank for this Ramsey himself.

Nothing but Respect for making this all happen Ramsey.

If only Bale had been more like you and he is worth 10 times your wealth.

100 times the person Gareth Bale is, absolutely 100% full respect to Aaron Ramsey and I hope everybody gets behind him and show him how much we appreciate what he’s done to come back home

Huge respect to Ramsey for making this happen. Like you say, Bale has ten times the money but I would say Ramsey is ten times the person that Bale is.

Hope our fans are patient with him because he fully deserves that and our respect.

Brilliant ..absolutely brilliant….top guy for the way he’s conducted himself and whatever happens from here on , I will have huge respect for the way he’s put family and club before huge wealth.
For those who say he won’t do it in the championship etc etc , let’s see what happens and tbh , barring injuries, class is permanent so nothing but good can come out of this for the club and the fans.
Remember the old saying…everything comes to he who waits if he waits long enough ….well worth the wait!!

He has been injured the last four years and has hardly played a game. He was a passenger in most of the Welsh matches especially the world Cup.

Alright, I'll respond to the bait.

He made 27 league appearances last season. In all but one of his seasons since leaving us, he's made at least 23 league appearances. So your point that he's "hardly played" is factually incorrect.

The World Cup and recent qualifiers were poor by all Wales players, unfair to single anybody out - they were collectively bad performances. But in qualifying for the World Cup which was relatively recently, he had three goals and an assist in six games.

But other than that, you're spot on.

I don't think anybody really believes that he won't have an impact at this level.

You would think Swansea fans would be more interested in being happy about their signing of Jerry Yates (who I think is a good signing by the way).

When they re-signed Joe Allen I wanted him to do well because it would be good for the Welsh national team, so don't understand why Swansea fans are talking about us signing Ramsey so much in the way they are.

He played 38 games in all competitions for club and Country in the last season.

Hiw many did Allen play? I'll give you a hint, it's not as many.
