Could Ramsey attract other welsh players?

Brooks, mepham, ampadu, broadhead etc. I miss the days where we used to have a good strong Welsh identity in the side.

All of those are nearly impossible.

For example, Brooks and Mepham will be in Bournemouth's squad for the Premier League. Everton will want a loan fee for Broadhead (which we're not allowed to pay) and Ampadu is under contract at Chelsea with a move back to Italy likely.

Personally want us to sign the best players possible, whether they're Welsh or not.

Maybe. But for me I just want the best players we can get at the club. I don’t care where they are from. Some of our most celebrated players aren’t Welsh. I think Ramsay does have star clout though and it’s a statement of intent to players that want to win.

Maybe players like tom bradshaw from millwall. Or Regan Poole, or even Ben Woodburn.
There are players out there who are welsh, we just need the negotiations like a mad man to bring them to us.
Mind you if rambo returns then anything is possible.

Seriously?

Bradshaw had a good season last season at Millwall and would demand a high fee.

Woodburn is under contract at Preston.

Poole signed for Portsmouth two days ago.

Of all the three you've mentioned, none are possible due to our restrictions.

Some fans seem obsessed with us signing Welsh players whether they're any good or not. Ramsey is a top signing but the truth is there are not many Welsh players that would improve our team.

You also wanted Mark Harris to stay, despite him being poor at this level.

I would rather us sign players that will actually improve us than sign Welsh players that will make us worse.

The only players we should be signing now are ones deemed better than what we have now. They may not end up being better but we hey should be intended that way. We have had years of buying squad fillers. If they aren’t intended to be starters or rotated starters/match squad we may as well save the money.
