" Where will we play Ramsey? "

Fri Jul 14, 2023 5:08 pm

No announcement yet, but we all know Aaron Ramsey will again be a Cardiff City player soon.

The next question is, where will he play? Bearing in mind we'll play 4-2-3-1.

My opinion is his best position is in the 1, just behind the striker. I also think he will play around 30 games, maybe not the full 90 in all those matches but probably up to 70. Him being close to Sean Connolly who works with him for Wales will help. Clearly won't do Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday.

He can also play on the left or as part of the two as a DM?

Do you agree he's an attacking midfielder or should he play somewhere else?

I'm off for a few drinks to celebrate this signing, wherever he plays for us :occasion5: :bluebird:

Probably at 10 with Rubin colwill or other coming on for the last half hour

Ramsey isn’t gonna be able to take the demand of a Saturday-Tuesday schedule. He will be managed like Bellers was in 2011 season.

He’s got to play as a number 10, end of story. I think him and Rubin will change around, as looks like Bulut is going to give him a chance. Maybe a rotation with him and Rubin.
He will learn so much from Ramsey.

Will also be useful some games to bring Ramsey on last 30mins etc.. He could play Sat, Tue, Sat just maybe not full 90s often, some games start some off the bench if needed. But yeah no 10 we have to use him in correct position.

Agreed! Play him as a CAM and he will create chances for fun. Hopefully we can add a decent young striker on loan to eat up those chances.

A few assumptions on Rambo's fitness here but let's just wait and see, shall we...?

Too easy to forget the he was frozen out at Juventus but his stats for last season were pretty good and he was enjoying playing again...

I'm with Ned on this being a great signing and I think we will see more of him than some might think at this point... :ayatollah:

#10 all day long . Bellamy never trained when he was with us , Ramsey will probably be the same . 60 minutes a game, not every game either. Rubin coming on , or CR47 dropping to a 10 . Exciting times .

He's got to be our Number10. Now we've got him, let's remember to look after him all season. Let's not expect the best we've ever seen of him every game, let's accept he won't play every game

Would of thought we had Ralls & Wintle or Adams, Ramsey in front

He's 32 not 62 and if Modric can still be playing regularly at 38 there's no reason why Ramsey couldn't at 32. Everyone saying he doesn't have the legs anymore is speculation & I'm sure we'll find out once the season starts. He's obviously going to need to be managed but maybe he will surprise us once he pulls on his CCFC shirt.

Can't wait for the season to start.

One thing is for sure. He will bring pride and passion. He clearly loves our club.
Can only be a good thing.

I think he will be fine for fitness, just think colwill and Ramsey will dovetail nicely, sometimes one of them starting and the other coming on in the last half hour or so for fresh legs. Honestly think Ramsey will be fine, just hope he doesn't get kicked about in the championship.

No, but now all the major news outlets and genuine ITK's are reporting medical passed and contract sorted.

Just waiting on Nice to release his registration. That's all that's left and hopefully it is not an issue this late in the whole protracted affair.

So just to confirm he hasn’t actually signed yet? And we are asking where he will play?

I’m looking forward to him signing. I have been a season ticket holder for the last 2 years and signed up for this year. I was a mascot in the 80s also. My father was a massive Cardiff fan also and I was a junior bluebird throughout. All I want is positivity around the club I grew up with. I’m so fed up reading the negativity from ‘Forever Blue’. If they think they could do a better job of running the club why don’t they take Ownership of it or do they need some funding from Sam?

Free role just behind the strikers where he can play his killer through balls.

He's ok with free kicks too ain't he!? As long as NG will share with him!
