FairPlay to Tan and the board

Sat Jul 15, 2023 7:15 pm

Yes they aren’t perfect and still make mistakes most seasons. However, to be under a transfer embargo and signing the players we have so far they deserve some credit.

I still think we’ll have 4/5 quality players to come in and they’ve done a great job so far.

It helps having a manager like bulut as I don’t think Hudson would have attracted many of these players

Only credit Tan deserves is that he is having less of a say.

Perhaps he has realised he has been a prat over the last few seasons and is leaving to those who know what they are doing.

Agree.

Tan had virtually nothing to do with the Ramsey deal, other than the money side obviously. Which isn't an awful lot.

Dalman did a bit so a little bit of credit to him.

But most of it came from Aaron Ramsey himself :bluebird:

Well said. But many won’t give them credit, but if things don’t work out they be quick to blame them. Damned if they do dammed if they don’t.

Absolutely spot on Ian,

The less say Tan has the better.

We were only going one way under Tan, down down.

Well done Ramsey.

I def feel Dalman deserves a lot of credit in this .

Plus he called Tan out, as he said Tan knows nothing about Football.

Ned,

Tan had minus zero say in all this, in fact if he had got involved we would probably have never got Ramsey.

Well done the board indeed.

I can't however stop wondering about the payment to Nantes and if/when Tan will pay.

If the payment is late then I don't want to even think about the consequences.

Well Annis I've like Dalman over the seasons but felt he should be doing more which he is now. For me he has been over taken by Tans driving which has been the clubs downfall. I don't know but I just feel Tan has kept Dalman here in case things started to go South of which they have. Now lets see if Dalman can pull a rabbit out of the hat and get us back to where we were before Tan came in.

As for Choo I don't know why he gets some of the blame for all of this. He has nothing to do with the football. I like the guy and the way he dealt with Dai Hunt after we turned to Blue where Dai and Sain Branson were invited into the VIP box was a masterstroke. When Dai annoyed us lot up with his gob during a match I recall a few wanting to take him outside. That's not Choo ways so when Dai is giving it big in the VIP box he gave him a large carton of popcorn. Watching Dai stuff himself was entertaining but most of all it gave the VIP guess a 5 minute respite. Classic move by Choo, why did none of us think about that?

Who is picking these signings as Tan, Dalman and Choo know nothing about footballer's.
Whoever it is they seem to be doing an exceptional job.

It will probably be a scout for the new manager .

Certainly more exciting than it looked a few weeks back , Grant potentially a great signing ….not sure who was responsible for this but well done   .
A front 4 of Robinson,Grant,Ramsey and O’Dowda looks a massive step up from last year.
If Collins can recapture his early season form , he is like a new signing as is Adams , be interesting to see the line up at Leeds :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Well done Borley and Dalman, I’ll go as far as thanking Tan for authorising the transfers that’s about it, the less say he has the better for us if he is to stay…..

Thank you Rambo for pushing to get your transfer done and thank you to the players who have come in on free transfers and loans when there were possibly better offers about for them

I think Dalman is quite underestimated as a football man,he has been quit happy to play a nodding dog and second fiddle to Tan.
But now for whatever reason he’s becoming more himself.
Shame he hasn’t got the wealth to buy us out.

One excellent post.
For us to be at our strongest we all really need to pull together as one united front. From the top to the bottom we have a great chance here at the start of a new chapter.

Possibly tan has said “I brought you in to make this club better this is you last chance now prove yourself “
Who knows who cares let’s stop the bickering about the past and look to a rosey future.

Dalman has kicked Tan off football duties and you know it.

The clown is not involved this season, Yes.

And Dalman laughs and sniggers about Tan and takes the piss out of him and rightly so.

Dalman is underestimated, but is also a showman and has been a bullshitter.

He does know football and has got contacts.

He has put money in and taken control this season, pushed Tan aside and rightly so.

This is great news.

Hopefully this is a new beginning and Tan eventually fucks off for good.

Dalman has played a part, fair play.
