Defender Charlie Wellens aged 20 is on trial at Cardiff City:

Wellen was a Manchester United Accademy player made 11 U21 appearances in 5 years , but made NO senior appearances for the club and was sent out on loan to Oldham’s U21’s for a season.

Wellen was sent on loan last season where he played for Barnsley’s U21’s on loan, where he was hoping to secure a contract.

Charlie Wellen is now a free agent and played for Cardiff City U21’s at Barry Town.

Darren Purse is a keen admirer of Wellen.

Well he went to Non league Oldhams 21’s and thought league 1 Barnsley’s U21’s would sign him on a free and they never.

I am not Bagans biggest fan, but I reckon Bagan is a way higher standard.

I think the lad is a right back and wouldn’t worry Bagan.

Don' t see the point in bringing him in this season when we are trying to move others out davies watters harris and a lot more canmot see him been near the 1st 11
