‘ Oliver Denham ‘

Tough start for Denham.

Oliver Denham aged 21 , Defender, Cardiff sent him out in season long loan.

In the Scottish Championship not the Scottish Premiership.

Another defeat for Dundee Utd in the cup.

Manager already under heavy pressure. Comments about Denham suggested he was good in possession, but struggled with some of the physical stuff, at times he was pushed out of the games .

2 games for them so far and not home well for him or the club.

It could be a good experience as long as it doesn’t go too sour there.

Be good to see how he is doing after a dozen games.

As to helping get better skills for our Championship, Hmmmmm?

Denham began his career as a youth player with Manchester United before being released in 2020 ,signing for Cardiff City in September 2020 where in 3 years Denham has made 5 appearances for the Bluebirds.

Definitely needs toughening up. Won’t throw him under the bus after 2 games. Let’s see how it develops.

It might pay you to read properly too.
I’m sure we all want the same thing and to see young players develop.
Going down a few rungs of the ladder can still be good experience.

I read , don’t worry there.

I’m one of the biggest fans of wanting our youth to come through.

In the 80’s and 90’s I sponsored all our local players abd backed them all.

The problem is now we are bullshitted and told that we have loads of great players coming through, when it’s def not been the case.

I all honesty one or two make it every season if your lucky, but the local media and our hierarchy have been making out we are producing 10-12 quality players , yet NOT one have achieved it.

I desperately want a couple to make it.

I understand and that’s great to hear. I quite agree that the media build up the talents of young players far too easily. I guess by the same token, we’re all a bit guilty of slagging off a bit too soon in young players careers. Let’s hope some of them come good.

The best feeling in the world is when a local lad makes it.

But the media build them up so big that the lads have to much pressure on their shoulders.

Glen Williams is the worst for it, without a doubt.

It will do him good in the long run hopefully and build up a bit of resilience.
Positive that he looks good in possession so once he adapts hopefully he will learn a lot

to be honest, their season has now started whilst we're doing pre-season, so he might be behind and is currently playing catch up, with regards to getting upto match speed.
