PLAYERS THAT ARE LIKELY TO BE LEAVING

Sat Jul 22, 2023 11:03 am

Much of everyone's attention is focused on the incoming players however as it showed last season there are a number of players that have to leave to make way for the incoming players. the following players could be on their way out either loan or free transfer
1. Luthra (GK): he needs first team football and is unlikely to get it this season with City
2. Watters (S): already on his way out
3. Davies (S): already been told he has to go out
4. Simpson (CB) been a bit of a spare part player, not really displayed any quality
5. Benjamin (D) likely to go out on loan to gain first team experience
6. OJO (M) not the same player as a few years ago, needs to be moved on
7. Tanner (W) not sure what he can bring to the squad, he needs first team football so a loan is likely
8. Sawyers (M) its a case of a quality player fading away at his recognised level, needs to be moved out for his own sake

If CIty are able to move most of those players out, giving way for the 3 other players Bulut wants to bring in, it will give a good balanced squad with the quality needed to get up that championship table :ayatollah:

Spot on.

Romeo not good enough for me.

Colwill would benefit from a loan and regular football, at the moment he is average. A couple of touches per game, sometimes none at all... Look at the Braga game did nothing.

Rinomhota won't play if we bring another midfielder in. Adams better cover.

We need a right back who can play the way Bulet wants, Ng is a fullback not an inverted wingback, but good cover.

King on a loan.

Vontae... Not sure where he is, has he gone already? Of not he will, league 1 player imo

I completely disagree about Colwill.

I've been very critical of him over the last couple of seasons. But I think he's done well over pre-season and I actually thought he had a good game against Braga. Made some good runs, seems to have more pace so probably worked hard on his fitness over the summer and got in good attacking positions.

People need to remember that he's not a winger, never has been. But several managers have played him in that position. Bulut has made clear he'll be a number ten and that's good news.

Ramsey will obviously not play every game or every minute so I expect Colwill will compete with others to play in that position when Ramsey isn't on the pitch. Robinson for example can play wide, number ten or as a striker.

But it is a big season for Colwill. I think he needs to make an impact over the season or he'll probably be moved on in a year.

Ng is a good RB but I agree maybe not the right player to play as an inverted RB as Bulut wants. Struggled against Braga.

You also mention Romeo. There are times when he looks like a solid Championship RB but also times when he looks awful.

So I think he wants another RB but it's probably not a priority.

Priority has to be a CM and a back up CB. If there are room for more signings after that (which I think there will be when players leave) then a GK and RB would be next on the list.

What has Colwill actually done...

Nothing against Braga and nothing tonight.

Nothing against Bridgend or TNS when he had long run outs. I don't get the hype. Is he better than Ojo... If so why?

He only played 15 minutes tonight

I'm a big critic of Colwill but he had a good game against Braga.

Made good runs off the ball, ran at their defence with pace, worked well with Evans, started attacks, had shots on goal.

All in 45 minutes.
