The Grange end Np 1969-1979

When i started watching the city all the singing was in the Grange End,where did the away fans go then 1969-on,but all the atmosphere was in the one area,when did sections of the fans split

I know in 76/77 they were put in the Grandstand enclosure, Canton end, which later on was seated to become the "lower grandstand".

They did that around 72. However that year I use to see contingents of away supporters standing on the corner of the Bob Bank next to the Grange end. That corner was perhaps the most volatile area for football hooliganism I will ever witness.

I remember one of those times, 20th October 1979, v Chelsea, up in that corner was a hot dog stand. It wasan't there after that game.

Everton '77. They gave them 1/4 of the Bob Bank. Towards the Canton Stand. :o :shock: :x
