Interest growing in signing Arsenal’s Charlie Patino - clubs in Germany & Spain. But Patino wants a permanent exit and PL sides, including Luton looking at loan. Cardiff City among Champ clubs keen on structuring a deal but a buyback clause means not simple

How on earth can we structure a deal if we can’t even pay money. Surely the journalists doing these stories are aware of our embargo.

I thought the same, don't really understand how that would work.

As the embargo finishes in Jan a season long loan with a purchase option could be the answer.

Cardiff City are locking horns with new Premier League outfit Luton Town in the pursuit of teenage Arsenal midfielder Charlie Patino.

The six-foot ball-playing linkman, 19, made two senior appearances for the Gunners, scoring once.

But the elegant schemer, capped at various levels for England, including the U-20s, rattled up 37 Championship appearances for Blackpool last season, firing three goals and numerous assists.

Arsenal now see Patino, who has a playing style similar to Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, as a club academy graduate, who needs to progress with a new club.

Cardiff, who plucked star defender Mark McGuiness from the Arsenal youth ranks a few years back, are hellbent on securing Patino.

Luton are confident of landing Patino on the basis they can offer thre EPL over the Championship with Cardiff - and, potentially, a superior wage.

The Hatters also believe Patino, would favor them over Cardiff because of their close proximity to London.

But Cardiff are attempting to detail Luton's effort on Patino - and are derurmined to land their young treatment.

Time and time again we have seen players join a Premier league side only to warm up their bench or play in the reserves. Yes it comes with a bigger salary but it boils down to the person.

Do they want to play competitive football regularly and over time improve. Or do they want the salary.

Hopefully CP will want to play regular football

Wasn't he quite average for Blackpool last season? May suit Bulut's style though. Not sure on this one.
