A forum for all things Cardiff City

Max Watters admits he did not hit the level he should have during his two-and-a-half years at Cardiff City following his move to Barnsley.
The striker, 24, scored just one goal during his stay, although he found the net with more regularity in League One with Barnsley and MK Dons during loan spells, so perhaps he has found the right place for him at this moment in time - in the third tier.
Speaking about his move, he said: "It gives me a base and a bit of security and I know where I am going to be for the next few years and I can push on.
"If everyone looks at my stats from the last few years, I have not hit the potential I should have. Whether that was the club I was at or whether that is myself, I need to work and improve on that to achieve my full potential.
"It is a fresh start for me. Coming on loan every season is tough. I have had successes on loan, but it's ultimately about being at a club that wants you and having a base is really important."

"Whether that was the club or whether that was myself".
Max, it was you. You're the one who missed a lot of one on ones when you had your chance.
Not a Championship player and should have gone a lot sooner.
Thankfully we now have Bulut and Dalman sorting things out.

Yeah. That part of his "quote" made me chuckle too.
